Current ED/resource/float pool RN and I S&P hard as ****. I mean we only work 3 days a week, I like to dress up a bit on my off days, tbh I hate wearing scrubs.

Im seriously considering ER medicine but hate the fact I don't get to dress up for work at least every once in a while lol. Scrubs errrrrdayyyyyy.

I got some black jcrew denim for $10 in stores and they are defs my fav pants to wear out to the bars/clubs. Pair with a dark chambray shirt and some light brown boots. Boom panty droppers. This should be a PSA to the brahs here as S&P doesn't always lend to a great "going out" outfit.

For sure. Black pants are certainly an "off duty" style of pants. Highly recommended.

I always went very conservative. Dark gray suit and black shoes. Not necessarily the place to be flashy, in my experience. That being said, depends a lot on the field, but for one like you're talking about I would have to imagine conservative is the way to go.



Correct, I'm a big fan of Bean Boots. This may not be the best advice because you can't just make this happen, but when I got mine it was right before a blizzard, and I ended up wearing them shoveling, to work, and all over that week. I'm aware that you said "besides just wearing them" haha, but just saying that I found that wearing them in the elements they're designed to help you with really got mine broken in rather quickly.

I have the 8 inch ones and love them. 10in is just too high for me, but on the other hand I personally think the shorter ones look kinda odd too. 8in is the perfect Bean Boot in my opinion.

What kind of lacing do you brahs go with/how do you wear them? I think I like the loose untied and pants somewhat tucked in the top

Got a question for you guys. I have been meaning to add the Vibram half sole and heel to my 1000 Miles boots for a while now. I bought them a few months ago and kept putting it off. I'm leaving to go to DC for a week on Saturday and wanted to put them on before the trip to help protect the soles and for added traction. I've almost slipped a couple times in them.

Anyway I was looking at putting them on tonight before the trip and apparently I'm fukin retarded and tend to walk on the outside of my feet a bit. Due to this, both the original sole and heel are a bit oddly worn. Will this fuk up the gluing of the half sole/heel or will I be good? Am I fuked with these boots and going to have to just wear them out and buy new ones eventually (which I'll be sure to add the sole/heel before wearing)?

I've worn these boots almost non-stop since getting them several months ago and they've seen a lot of wear. Hopefully some of you have experience with this, if they will be fine then I'll put the soles/heels on tomorrow.

Hard to tell in the pics. It's not too terrible but it's definitely noticeable when you have them in your hand.

Did more but won't post pics. Trip was a blast. We didn't make it to the inauguration. We got there a little late and protesters were blocking all entrances. Impossible to get in. We saw a rock get thrown that hit a cop and started to get the fuk out of there. Saw a couple fires and a car being vandalized along the way as we exfilled.

Best part of it all was hanging out with my two best friends and our platoon leader.

I lace them up all the way to the second to last hole and tie them and have my pants cover them. I don't think I've seen someone wear them like you're describing but if you get them, post pictures.
