Good day to everyone,
Today marks my 100th day of my route to six packs. I started off at 215 lbs on day 1, and I am now down to 184 lbs. I am eating very well but have little time to exercise. I really try my best by doing some body-weight training at home.
I am no where near my goals, however I am pretty satisfied with the results so far. I hope by summer 2017 i will have visible abs.
I decided to sign up here for extra motivation, guidance, and criticism throughout my progress.
Cheers

It's definitely starting to become tougher to lose body fat ... at this point my nutrition is still very clean, however i am not noticing much gains; which is why i decided to dedicate some of my time in the gym. Today is the 3rd day in the gym and my whole body is sore (the good sore). Surprisingly, i found myself very strong and can lift heavy weights with near perfect form thanks to some of the home workouts i had practiced. I will post my updates with pictures here around once a month as a motivation for myself and hopefully the other 92 ghosts who viewed my before and after :P .
Merry christmas fellow bodybuilders !

Thanks a lot for the encouragement folks ! I really appreciate it.
Thanks Hutch and sure thing, i will try to brief my lifestyle during the past 3 months.
Training:
Before joining the gym 2 weeks ago, i used to rely on home workouts that mainly focused on burning fat while building muscles. You can find many such programs online. I made sure i trained every muscle group so as to try to be proportional. Those workouts included pushups with different angles, pullups, shoulder presses, abdominal routines, squats, and the list goes on..
Food:
Counting calories was a bit of a challenge at first, but then with time i got the hang of it. My resting metabolic rate (due to online calculators) was around 2100 per day. I implemented a calorie deficit of 500 per day and aimed at losing 1lb of fat per week (keep in mind that 1lb of fat =3500 calories). The goal was to burn 1lb of fat weekly while building as much lean muscles as i can according to my own calculations.
Remember that variety of nutrition is key here for ultimate body recovery.
I cut off carbs and unhealthy fats almost entirely.
My nutrition consisted of:
LF milk, LF yogurt, oatmeal, eggs, 1tbsp cinnamon per day, bananas, apples, oranges, basically tried to fit all fruits and vegetables into my diet, chicken, turkey, lots of fish, tuna, broccoli, occasional lean cut steaks, cottage cheese, peanut butter, almonds, cashews, peanuts, seasoning items like cumin, pepper .. etc and probably other foods i forgot to mention. But i guess you get the point here.
I completely cut off bread, rice, sugar, salt, oil, butter .. etc
Supplements
Iso whey protein (very low in fat and carbs)
That is the only supplement i relied on and only because it was the only thing i could afford. However, i wish to add glutamine and BCAAs when i get some cash flow.
--------------------
I guess that is about it. Consistency along with patience is the real test here.
I hope this was a bit helpful for anyone reading this, and I am always ready for criticism or questions.
Happy new year to all !

2 weeks later
Well a month seemed a bit long for updates; i will post an update every 2 weeks instead !
I apologize in advance for my sh***y camera !
For some reason I can't post links or direct images, so I would appreciate if someone can post the two of them for everyone to see: the one in this post, and the first post. Thank you very muchLast edited by mmmiaas; 01-01-2017 at 12:04 PM.

Well i guess i am not going to continue here on this forum. For some reason I am now a shameless member of this community as you can see in my red Reputation status. Why? Because I created a thread in the Misc section asking how the reputation system works? Pretty low and degrading question if you ask me :/
I guess this system is not really reliable after all and I really tried my best to be a good member but it seems I am off to a terrible start. Obviously i am not very welcome here.
Thanks a lot to the people who actually supported me on this thread and i will definitely continue my path to the perfect transformation.
Happy new year to everyone and goodbyeMy transformation: *ONGOING*

don't let one or two self important online forum trolls get you down. obviously, or at least hopefully, you don't care about the opinions of someone you've never even met.
the rep system is broken anyways, it's pretty much the BB.com old boy network.
do yourself a favor and just ignore it, and all will be just fine.my workout blog: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=177584181&p=1588523911#post1588523911

Hi Jdizzlean.. I appreciate your reply, and you are right. I was not demotivated by anyone here nor was I going to let anyone stand in the way of reaching my goals ! I only felt bad because I felt like I did nothing wrong to deserve those negative reps and thus felt like I did not belong in this forum.
But thanks to you guys I now understand that this whole reputation thing is worthless (to me at least now) and therefore I decided to stick around, however I will only limit my postings to this thread and ask relevant questions to bodybuilding.
Otherwise, I guess it is a waste of time !My transformation: *ONGOING*

Dude, fantastic transformation. I probably have 30-40 lbs on you at the moment so definitely closer to your "before" stage, but seeing this makes me see it's all possible again.
4-5 years ago i went from 216 to 184 over about 6 months but couldn't sustain it so levelled out at around 195-200lbs. I am back above even my starting weight from 5 years ago so I do have a bit of a journey to even get back to the starting line, but it's posts like these that show me, and everyone on this forum, what is possible exactly with some hard work and commitment. Keep up the good work.

Hahaha yes indeed, thanks for clarifying, but how would one know if he/she is a newbie, right? Anyways it doesn't matter man, as I stated in my first post I am just here for motivation, guidance and criticism throughout my progress ! It was my mistake to take a detour

Similar thing happened to me before because i choose to use an unconventional way of dieting, Anyway i tend to stay out of the misc section and stick to the bodybuilding related sections as i find the misc depressing as fook,
Anyway fantastic progress, very inspirational keep up posted on your progress Oh and have some reps from me
