Two different products. One is 15g of "sugar" that has been shown to increase gastric emptying time along with 5g of pointless amino acids and other stuff. The other is a solid pre-workout.

Because they want you to believe that intake of carbs pre-workout is going to make a significant difference. For the average gymgoer and person training, you don't need carbs preworkout. If you've been meeting your macro daily you'll have plenty of glycogen stored up. If we're talking about endurance or heavy training lasting >2.5-3 hours, then there may be some value, but still.

I wouldn't supplement free-form aminos of any kind, but that's me. If you're meeting your macro daily, which you should be doing, you'll get plenty of amino acids.

If you want a pre-workout that is properly dosed and will give you feelings of energy and a nice pump, then the C4 Ultimate is a good choice.

Your choice in pre should be based around what you want for your workout. Do you want feelings of energy, pumps, focus or some combo of the three. Once you know that, then you can pick one with the ingredients to meet your needs.
