"what brand is the best one" is an impossible question. That's like asking what is the best number. Give more info on what you are looking for in a bike, eg acceleration, torque, handling, comfort, fuel economy, reliability, looks, etc.

    bmw s1000r lmao

u will kill yourself on day one.

start with a bike like kawasaki ninja 250 to learn biking first..proper braking, rev matching etc

big bikes react very strongly to throttle.

Given your knowledge and experience with motorcycles, I'd recommend this bad boy.

OP I highly suggest starting with dirt bikes off road to learn the basics shifting, braking, turning. If you are below 6' I'd get a used Ninja 300. If you're above 6', I'd get a used Ninja 650. Used for first bike in case you drop it. If you like the cruiser style, they are more comfortable. Honda Rebel is a good beginner bike.

If you get a Harley you'll likely instantly have a gang of local people to ride with although you won't be popping wheelies and rubbing knees on twisties. If you want a supersport eventually, I think one of the best is Honda CBR600. Yamaha 2nd best, then Suzuki, then Kawi. I would avoid Aprilia, Ducati, and BMW (more expensive repairs).

    you are probably right.

those 200-300 cc bikes get boring very fast especially if u plan to ride on highways

op look for bikes between 400 cc to 600cc..they are perfect for highways and much lighter so easier to learn with.

KTM duke 390 is a great bike

so is yamaha r6 or triumph daytona 650 hnnnng

This. Definitely don't need to start on a 250. You control the throttle input.

First bike was an SV650. Ridden almost every kind of bike, now have a Harley Softail Slim. Ready to sell it though.

Get a Honda or Kawasaki. Kawasaki's have a neutral finder which might help you as newbie from stalling. Get a used 650R or Shadow and enjoy low maintenance, low price, and reliability.

I think a 600 or 650 is a perfect beginner bike. Enough power to leave cars in the dust but not enough that you're going to kill yourself by over throttling.
