Question FAT guy with a dream..

Are you ever to old to have a dream and right a wrong? I hope not, I lately have been wanting to get in shape and pick up MMA. I just unfortunately don't know if I'm to old to pick up MMA and I don't know where to start with losing weight.. A little background I've always been on the heavier side since birth, I was always the youngest in my class age wise, however weight I was the biggest... As you can expect, this resulted in bullying which followed by depression and suicidal tendencies which I concealed with TV and Video Games... Around age 10 I was introduced to Mary Jane (no jokes) despite helping my suicidal tendencies and depression this made me gain even more weight.. I smoked until about age 16 and just quit out of the blue without anything to rely on I turned to TV like I once did this is when I came across MMA... Fast forward to 12/11/2016, Today. I finally said I'm done, I'm done being Fat, its been nothing but a nuisance since birth. So here I am asking you guys for help, advice and seeking answers to my questions and just looking for any hope.

Listed below are my starting stats and questions.

    Age: 21
    Height: 5'11
    Weight: 335

    • Is it to late to try and lose weight?
    • Am I to old to pickup MMA? (I have no experience in Martial Arts what so ever)
    • Where do I begin with losing weight? (Absolutely never dieted or tried losing weight. Never even eaten a vegetable in my life.)

Hey man you're only 21 years old. It's not to late to lose weight and it's not to late to learn some new skills. Don't give up before you even start.

You are so young, you cannot even imagine the places you could take yourself in the next ten years. If you apply yourself and are truly serious, you could not only return to a healthy place, but even aim towards competitive MMA if you wanted to go that way. Best advice would be to find a professional martial arts coach to start with so that you do not waste any time struggling with things that you do not enjoy. The easiest way to lose weight will be to have fun doing it. You might benefit from something as simple as a Title Boxing Club membership, or more advanced, like a BJJ class. \

If you are for real about this stuff, feel free to send me a DM or connect on BodySpace to stay in touch.

I wish I could show you what I looked like and where my head was ten years ago compared to the profile picture you see now. I have all but reinvented myself, and if you had told me ten years ago that it would have taken that long, I would have been discouraged, but looking back, I would not change a thing about my journey. You have to grow and learn about yourself along the way.
