So I've been working really hard the past 6 months and finally have gotten down to around 200lbs - 204lbs (depends on how much water im holding). I've leaned out pretty nicely at 6'2" while hitting the gym 6-7 days a week. I am leaving for Mexico this weekend and will be at an all-inclusive resort and am wondering if I should take my supplements with me?
Although it'll be an all-inclusive Im going to try to eat relatively clean and keep calories to around 3,000 max daily. (I know it'll be more like 4,000 calories)
The supplements I currently take is, Agmatine, Citruline Malate and Beta-Alaine (make my own PWO prior to the gym), BCAA's to sip intraworkout and postwork I'll have 2 scoops of whey protein along with 5 grams of Creatine.
Should I take the Creatine with me and take the 5g daily during breakfast or post-workout while on vacation? The resort has a gym (probably not professional grade) but I do plan on working out with weights. The hotel said they have weights in the gym. Worried that if I stop taking the Creatine and other supps that when I get back I'll be WEAK AF and lose any strength gains.
Suggestions for you guys that have gone away on vacation? Take the supps with me or leave em home?
Any suggestions on what to eat while on an all-inclusive? I plan on keeping carbs VERY LIGHT and loading up on protein.

When I went on a cruise this year I took my BCAA's to sip on during my workout and my pre-workout. You shouldn't need the protein, as you should be able to get plenty of protein with regular food since its all inclusive. I like to have a nice shake after my workouts, but on the boat after my workouts I would have a huge chicken burrito with rice and beans. On that note, you shouldn't need the creatine if you are planning on having some steak while you are there, it has a nice dose of it.
Have fun!ALL I ASK IS ALL YOU GOT FOR AS LONG AS IT TAKES

Take the creatine with you, but put in an unmarked plastic bag taped to your body....So you don't lose it before you get there. YW
It takes awhile for creatine levels to drop back to baseline, two weeks if not longer. Its not going to hurt you too much to be without. just resume taking 5g / day or whatever when you get back and not have the hassle of toting a bunch of supps. Unless you do ^ which makes it easy to carry and keeps the TSA agents on their toes

Thanks for the replies guys. I will prob just take my multivitamins and fish-oil pills with me. Funny with the unmarked plastic bag Plateau LoL I was actually thinking the same. Can you picture me explaining creatine in a ziplock bag to a Mexican immigration/customs official? LoL
I am going to try to eat alot of steak on this trip to make up for the deficit

We usually go to Cancun twice a year. I take my multi's and Omega 3's. I leave the Whey and Creatine (not real excited about taking a white powder through Customs - lol) at home. Sometimes I work out while I am there, sometimes I don't. The times I haven't trained hasn't hurt me much. I figure my joints (especially elbows) get a little break and when I get home and back to the gym I am fresh and ready to start a new cycle.
We usually eat like we do while we are home. Plenty of eggs, meat and fish available there. We find it really easy to stay away from carbs at an all-inclusive. In fact - There have been trips when I have actually lost weight.
Just go and have fun - what you are doing is is a long term project.

I dunno man, it's a vacation. Bring the speedo and snorkel and have fun! Eat sensibility, when I vacation I aim to fill up on proteins first then scavenged the rest. I get the concerns but things can easily get back on track after a couple weeks back.

When I moved to Louisiana, my wife made me take my entire porn collection with me (I moved there a year before she did). This is a lifetime worth of magazines and movies, and she wanted me to take the sex goodies we'd acquired together like condoms, handcuffs, sex lube, crap like that. I was flying down, so we threw it all in a huge piece of luggage and I checked it. When I got to Louisiana, I opened the bag and it had one of those "this bag was inspected by the TSA" tags in it! That was probably the piece of luggage they are still talking about.

So you are srs with 200-204 depending on water? Are you a professional model? Call it 205, you won't have to type so much, nor sound so preoccupied.
Example: Somebody asks me what I weigh. I say 240. I might actually weigh 236.5 at that moment, but nobody cares! And not a soul on this earth can control normal water fluctuation, it's normal.
Your body won't burn through all it's creatine stores on vacation. 2 weeks is nothing, you can leave it at home. If you are on 4000 cals a day on vacation I seriously doubt you need to worry about getting adequate protein, or bringing whey with you.
Have fun, be moderate, enjoy yourself.

Leave it all at home. We do all-inclusives all the time. Going to Grenada at the end of the month.
In 13 days you're not going to have creatine issues. BCAAs are pointless if you're meeting your macro while working out. They surely aren't going to be an issue on vacation where you'll have access to plenty of protein to meet your macro. Same with protein powder since it's only helpful in meeting your macro, there is no reason to bring it along when you'll have an easy time meeting your macro.
BA is going to similar to creatine as it also works via saturation. The agmatine and CM aren't going to make much of a difference even if you do workout while on vacation. The supplements aren't making nor breaking your gains or losses, so to worry about them is a bit silly.
Just relax, enjoy yourself and rest. Your body needs that too. Wouldn't even bring the multi or fish oil. Again, 2 weeks without them isn't going to make a difference."I'm pretty sure your wrong, but care to elaborate..."

Chances are, the hotel doesn't have gym good enough for even most abbreviated improvised workout. None of them ever do. I survive vacations by spending 2-3, sometime 6 hrs in the water, freediving or spearfishing or scuba diving. Also socializing and boozing and trying to multiply (unsuccessfully). Remember me taking latino dance lessons and sailing dinghy - this is what vacations for. It is also good time to forget about supps and macros.

I don't do a lot of supps, but took my bcaa mix with me to Aruba (2 weeks) in the summer. It makes a good recovery drink for a day at the beach lol
After going to all inclusives and resorts for a number of years, I find having a decent gym in the resort, or nearby is something I look for.
I have a routine that I like.
Rather than sleep in, I find the gym or a gym, get up at 7:00am. I goto the gym for an hour to an hour and a half. Usually there are no heavy weights but get in a good workout nonetheless.
I am still back in time to have a shower, and get ready for breakfast at 9 and can feel good about indulging and having a couple treats at the breakfast buffet
Also in tropical destinations, usually the mornings are a little cooler
In Aruba there was a pretty good gym within walking distance of our hotel. Some mornings I went jogging, most I went to the gym. It was great taking in the island, the sunrise (if I was early,) walking to the gym, meeting some of the local people and gym-patrons. Most people spoke in spanish or papiamento so it was not easy to understand all the conversations.
So yeah, after that, I am pretty relaxed about what I eat and drink, nap in the shade, whatever.
This works for me, and I enjoy working out. It's part of my lifestyle. It is a chance to meet people, change up your routine, and burn off any extra desserts lol.I'm going to take the Sc0liosis curve out of my back and eliminate my nerve pain

Don't worry about them.
I do this twice a year, same deal, all inclusive to the DR or Mexico... I bring gym cloths and that is about it.
Eat to compensate for the protein, if you feel you really need to.
Creatine, if you have muscle mass to really take advantage of it in the first place, will only take a couple of days to saturate upon return..
Toss the rest out and have a coffee for pre-workout, save yourself some $.--
