    for instance when i travel with my parents, they're non-stop "okay we have 15 things to do today, so keep up" and then they hit like 5 cities in 3 weeks and it's awful. when i travel alone and later with my girlfriend, i insist that we spend our ****ing time, limit the scope and maximize the relaxation and fun. maybe after tax season you should go somewhere cheesy like Niagara Falls or Disney World.

    i'm really glad i got to travel while dating my wife. now we've got the kid and the job that keeps me locked down pretty tight. i'm going to get a trip to Hong Kong this year, but it's only 2 weeks for me because of work, which is painful when dealing with jetlag and all that.

    I hear you. I mean, by all means, I do love doing small local travels, such as going down to LA or Vegas.

    I know what you mean though. A small get-away is usually good for most people. Unfortunately, I'm such a Type A person that I feel like I would be the guy checking his emails in Hawaii lol.

    naw dude, if Niagara or Disney isn't far enough out of your way, seriously take a month off and travel to another country or something. not that you seem stressed out or untraveled or anything...just so i can travel again vicariously through you lol

    TBH I haven't tracked macros in about a month. I started tracking macros back in 2011, so I'm at a point now where I don't feel the need to always track so rigidly.

    I keep a general loose count of protein in my head, usually getting 150-200 grams a day. Calories are usually in the high 2000's- low 3000's, although with the holidays, I'm sure I'm gearing towards the higher end .

    I do check my body weight around 3-4x a week. I'm currently averaging 169lbs, meaning my weight is slowly trending upwards at the rate I want it to.

    My food choices are rather boring throughout the weekday and I generally eat the same things - protein bar or 2, chipotle double meat, some type of fruit-veggie shake, some ice cream, a scoop or 2 of whey, and other small miscallenous items.

    On weekends I tend to just have two scoops of protein and a protein bar during the day, before I hit the gym. Afterwards, I usually go out to eat, and eat pretty big meals.
