Started doing 5 daily prayers again after long hiatus. (Muzzie crew) (srs)

I started doing them since I was 15. I stopped briefly in February for some weird reason. I wasn't happy so I felt that praying was useless. It felt pointless to be a religious person if I'm not satisfied with life.

I've become overall much happier in my life now, and for some reason I'm now motivated to dedicate myself to the obligatory prayers.

That's actually so weird, because typically people seek spiritual guidance during bad times, but for me it seems like I can only be religious during good times. It's atypical.

Anyhow, feel really good that I started praying again. Reps to all ITT.

LEL, Allah pls grant me 6'3" magic powers.

Nah bro. When I was dissatisfied with my height I wasn't praying. Now I feel much better about it than before.

That's what's weird. I'm now satisfied with life so it's easy to start being religious again.

I don't think of any shape of form when it comes to a creator. That would be idolatry. Even any imaginary projections I have of the creator is idolatry.

The thing is I'm in a position now where life is getting well. Like, my grades are high, I'm going to be getting a paid research internship in the winter, so when I get out of University I'll definitely be able to manage fine (as long as the economy gets back in shape lol).

I've made a whole bunch more friends now and I have a good social life, and I got sloots eyeing me now that I've gained some decent weight.

Even with all of that (which isn't much but it's decent), what's the point of having all of these things if I am going to die anyways? Life on Earth is pretty short, so to spend your life chasing worldly desires and pleasures is a fool's errand. The only way to make it in life is by preparing well for the afterlife.

    That's absolutely haram bro.

Tbh it's probably why I always ruin chances with sloots. I have been socially conditioned to view fornication as a sin, so I subconsciously avoid it.

I'm responsible for making sure I don't sleep in. Or I'll wake up briefly to catch the prayers and then sleep again. That's what I used to do in the summers.

Lol. I'm FAR from radicalized bro trust. But who doesn't love the order and stability you get from adhering to one way of life, and centering your life around a cause greater than your own?

You're who the devil thought Job was. Thought as his life started sucking he'd lose his religion.

Not trying to hate, just an interesting parallel.

I think it's perfectly natural for the majority of religious people to become somewhat less religious when going through difficult times. If prayer makes you happier during good times, then that's great. Nothing wrong with it whatsoever.

Do you fast during Ramadan, and if so, how do you make it compatible with cutting / bulking?

Can you expand on that? It's interesting but I don't really understand the context.

It's unusual though. What normally happens is that people only seek supernatural guidance during times of hardship, which is why you're more likely to see a religious poor person than a religious rich person. But for some reason I feel like the less satisfied I am with life, the less incentive I feel to pray.

I do, but tbh man I only started lifting this July. I haven't had a Ramadan yet where I'm lifting.

I don't even know how I'm going to deal with Ramadan. The last Ramadan I was down to 120 lbs and could barely deadlift a car tire. Serious loss of strength from not eating as much.

The Book of Job is a book in what I know as the old testament. God and the devil made a bet that this random dude would start losing his faith as his life fell apart. Through the book the devil does really fuked up chit to this bro like killing his kids and chit but the guys faith just gets stronger.

It's supposed to be about God being there for you. I can't remember how they draw that conclusion after they flipped his dudes world but yeah.

It's about how Job kept his faith as his world went to hellunch. It's a very famous story is Christianity and Judaism.

BTW the guys name is pronounced Jobe with a long o

    Oh I see.

    Well yeah that makes sense.

The less of the world you have, the more inclined you are to turn to a supernatural being to solve your problems. It's usually the very rich and well off that disregard their spiritual life, because the abundance traps them into a illusion where they think they are independent and this will last forever.
