For me this new GHD really causes issues on the recommendation, I'm an avid supporter of the 45 degree hyper but this thing is so damn cheap you can't afford NOT to own one. I'm sure someone here will pick one up soon, can't wait to get an opinion on the overall quality. Pads look exactly like GetRXD, which leads me to believe its going to be a decent unit.

The sales rep (I know he is biased) asked what I had before and told me the best part of the GHD is how easy it is to adjust compared to the York I had. He also said there is absolutely no wobbling at all. At least I sold my York for more than I paid for this so I still made a profit.

In my opinion, the half-moon pad makes about 75% of the GHR. I've had a good pad on a wobbly frame and it was way better than a crap pad on a rock solid frame. See the old WSB videos. That thing sways all over the place. But it's comfortable on the quads/knees, so it works well. The other 25% would be the size of the footplate.
So keep that in mind with this one. Although at that price you could replace the pad and still come out way ahead.▪█──█▪ Equipment Crew #61 ▪█──█▪

Totally agree on this. Design and specs look solid. The desirability and value of this piece is going to come down to the quality of the pads and fit/finish. That's actually one thing that has always impressed me with Rogue. Their pads on benches, GHD, reverse hyper etc...always seem of very solid quality. Owning their 2.0 GHD I don't think the rollers are impressive (good enough though) but the pad is very nice.

Haven't been able to "rep" many of you for a year or more...not for lack of trying.

Just joined to reply to this thread. I ordered he titan ghd, should be in stock November 21st. I put a titan half rack in my garage and am happy with it. I always check their site to see what new **** they have and couldn't pass this up. I came close to taking a chance on the TDS a month ago but glad I waited.
Like others said hopefully the pad is good. THEY also have flat and adjustable benches now. I have an iron master super bench (bought used for $125). it's solid but it's a few inches higher than the benches I'm used to and a narrow pad. I'm considering selling the super bench if the titan get some good reviews.
Also how'd you guys get that price? I only saw a 5% coupon. Paid 299.

If I had slightly more room in my garage, I'd probably pull the trigger on the GHD. Hard to beat at that price! They have some decent stuff on their site...their 5 and 9 bar storage looks pretty nice, in fact, the 9 bar looks identical to the Rogue and Rep Fitness 9 bars storage, but half the price of the Rogue and a third cheaper than the Rep. I may have to buy one with free shipping and 10% off.

Impressive price. Titan's business model is very interesting to me because it appears they are fine with taking 10-20% margins on products, or maybe less, to either establish a new product or just take over a segment. Also their designs that are "borrowed" with not a single change and yet no fear of repercussions.

Just out of curiosity, is Titan a company that imports products from China or are they manufacturing themselves? Just curious. For what it's worth, the GHD is my least used piece in my gym, but I should probably try to use it more.

I think it's funny how everyone here is all excited about the clone/copy of someone else's work. I bought a clone of a $300 bipod for a precision rifle and everyone jumped all over me for not supporting the American company who designed and engineered the original version. But I'm a cheapie, so I went the clone route....
that being said, I have a GetRXD GHD and like rpark, mine doesn't get used too too much. I was so excited to find out what al of the hype was about, and now that I have it...I sometimes wonder if I could use a portable/floor GHD and save some sq foot.
Tagging along to see what the reviews of this thing are like, though.

how much does it cost to patent something? i'm betting it's also expensive as hell to go after someone for infringement (i'm betting this because a friend of mine gets paid a ton of money and he's a patent attorney). considering that Rogue isn't leading the market because of their design innovations, i bet they get a better return on their advertising dollars than they'd get on lawyers fees.

That's the problem with an importer. All they are doing is taking your money and then forwarding on product from China. They don't make anything. Considering their bait and switch photos and poor QC in the past, it's hard to trust that their website photos are what you are going to end up receiving.

Except that their T3 line has gone through multiple revisions based on customer feedback, and is now functionally the best deal in town. No one has this product in their hands yet, so none of us can say if it's junk or a functional equivalent to the Rogue product. In either case, based on my personal dealings with Titan I will assume that their customer service will make any wrongs right.
The people who want to pay more for Rogue spit and polish can still pay more for Rogue spit and polish all day long, no one is stopping them. I don't foresee Titan becoming the official equipment provider for Crossfit.
