Coolhaus Campfire S'mores
I am a fan of Coolhaus, but the only problem is that my stores only stock the basic flavors and never get any of the limited edition/seasonal pints. On top of that, they didn't even offer them for nationwide shipping on their website until just recently. So of course I ordered a six-pack of limited edition flavors. However, I found this pint at my local Ingles.
The texture is what you would expect from a premium ice cream company. I would say this more along the lines of Blue Bell, Ben & Jerry's and Jeni's in terms of density. It is milky, creamy and slow to temper, but still isn't as premium as the top tier ice cream companies.
There is definitely a recognizable vanilla bean taste in the base. With that said, it certainly isn't near as flavorful or as strong as say Little g's, which is arguably my favorite vanilla bean. However, it is provides the perfect amount of sweetness for the base of this ice cream.
The chocolate chunks were the main mixin. They weren't as hard as your typical chunks. They break apart easily, but are a bit chalky as they crumble apart.
In terms of flavor, the chocolate chunks have a dark chocolate taste with a bitter dry cocoa flavor to them. The bittersweet chocolate actually works very well because it tames much of the sweetness from the base and swirl.
The graham marshmallow cookie butter acts as a swirl, and unfortunately, is severely lacking in this pint. The texture is what you would expect in a swirl. It isn't overly thick or runny, but was a happy medium. It has a bit of gooeyness and stickiness to it as well.
The swirl does not have any cookie butter flavoring to it at all. It favors marshmallow in taste and sweetness. Every so often, there are hints of graham flavoring in the bigger pools of the swirl that is mainly from the addition of brown sugar and honey.
I have been hunting this pint for quite some time now, and I would call it average at best. The base is mild in terms of vanilla bean flavor. The chocolate chunks aren't all that impressive of a mixin, but do help to cut some of the overall sweetness. The thick marshmallow graham swirl adds even more sweetness, but has zero cookie butter flavor as described in the description. This pint isn't a must grab, but a nice scoop if it’s available in your area. BI.C.E.D.

Had that Coolhaus pint before. Top layer had a good amount of chocolate chunks, but the rest of the pint (3/4) was bare. Weak.

The bold/underlined are legit and worth a scoop for sure! Fruitcake is above average as well and definitely enjoyable! Eggnog was basic last year, but this year they added that lingonberry swirl so I would give that a shot as well, although it will easily be the least liked of the bunch in my opinion..
^I saw this.. this is great news! I am definitely ordering.. I can't wait to try their new flavors for 2018!
Also, has anyone scooped Ice Cream Jubilee before? They cut me a deal, so I just ordered their fall flavors 6-pack because they sounded very unique and intriguing!I.C.E.D.

I hope not either.. They come in next Thursday so I will see how mixing heavy they look when they arrive!
Little g Sticky Bun
The QC issues remain the same with this pint, but to be honest, there really isn't that much ice cream in this pint. There are literally so many mixins, that the ice cream takes a backseat. It seems to melt pretty quickly again, and the few patches of ice cream I was able to scoop had an icy texture.
Everything sounded great about this pint except for the salted caramel base. I thought it might pull from the mixins a little bit and that's exactly what happened. Imagine Ample Hill's Salted Crack Caramel and this base is pretty close to it, although not quite as strong. It has an extremely burnt caramel flavor to it that is very unique. It's not that salty or sweet, and is more bitter than anything.
Unfortunately, the sticky buns were just okay. The smaller pieces were soft and chewy, but the larger pieces were a bit too icy. They were everywhere in this pint too, which is why the ice cream was lacking.
I found the sticky bun pieces weren't too sweet, because they soaked up a lot of the salted caramel ice cream base. Therefore, it gave the chunks that same burnt caramel flavor that comes with the base.
Surprisingly, the candied pecans were done to perfection. Each pecan halve actually had a sugary glaze and candied coating. They were pretty soft for being frozen in ice cream and gave way to a pleasant chew. The candied coating also gave them a slight gritty texture from the sugar granules. The flavor was a perfect pecan taste that was sugary sweet from the candied coating and reminded me a lot of pecan pie.
The cream cheese frosting swirl was even better than the pecans. It had a slight tanginess like cream cheese, but also had a sweet finish with a vanilla frosting taste. The contrast of these two flavors was amazing. Another great aspect of it was the texture. It had a thick and creamy consistency to it that was extremely smooth. It replicated a whipped frosting consistency to perfection.
Since the texture of the base is still off, I have to rank this pint as slightly below average because of the icy base. The salted caramel base is too burnt and has a bitter taste. The sticky bun pieces were a letdown as well since they soaked up the salted caramel base and lacked cinnamon flavor.
However, the candied pecans were chewy and had a perfect candied coating. The cream cheese frosting was even better with its contrasting tangy and vanilla frosting flavors. Despite the amazingly flavored pecans and frosting swirl, there were still too many disappointments in this pint. BI.C.E.D.

Seems like the right time and it came up on UGASARs IG. It’s pretty much been radio silence for a while now.
That last pint summed up the last few months of their production. On one hand it was absolutely packed with candy. On the other hand the buttered popcorn base didn’t come through at all.
I guess I missed the holiday sales last year. So far:
Gelato Fiasco
Coolhaus
Ample Hills
Have or are going to offer deals.

I'm one of the most optimistic people you will ever meet, but at this point, I am really doubtful.
Already ordered Coolhaus, and I'm definitely ordering Gelato Fiasco. I am curious to see what Ample Hills does for Cyber Monday. I haven't ordered the Star Wars pack yet, so hopefully it will save me a few bucks!
Not at all, I bought it a local grocery store.. Guess I just got lucky!I.C.E.D.

Grabbed a pint of a non-Dairy option called NadaMoo... COokie's and Cream flavor.
For 140 calories per serving, and even just in general, it's a great flavor. The cookie pieces are big, and though it's based from coconut milk the flavor is fairly subtle.
I tried two of their other flavors but this was by far the best I've done so far."When I die, I hope it's early in the morning so I don't have to go to work that day for no reason"

I agree that it's a complete steal! Especially for the unique flavors..
They can be hit and miss for sure! However, there are plenty good flavors. I'm going to scoop all the new ones (the ones that say First Batch next to them) since I have scooped all of their regular lineup flavors.
GREAT:
- Dark Chocolate Caramel Sea Salt
- Maine Wild Blueberry Crisp
- PB Straciatella
- Torched Marshmallow S'more
GOOD:
- Pumpkin Pie
- Doughing Me, Doughing You
- Mascarpone Pistachio
Give them a shot! They have some good flavors..I.C.E.D.

7-Select Double Cookie Dough
This base doesn't seem as dense as the previous pints. The texture is also slightly gummier than the others I've recently scooped. It still doesn't melt as fast as a cheaper brand of ice cream, but it definitely isn't near as creamy as the big names in the ice cream game.
Unfortunately, the vanilla bean flavor is definitely lacking a bit. I get hints of it whenever I get a scoop of the base alone, but the mixins easily over power the smoky, "bean" aspect. Nonetheless, it was still a good vanilla base with a classic sweet and milky flavor.
The cookie dough pieces were hit and miss as well. I found that the brown sugar cookie dough chunks were a little drier than the chocolate cookie dough chunks. It's not that the brown sugar pieces were bad; it's just that they weren't near as gooey as the chocolate pieces.
The brown sugar cookie dough chunks taste like regular cookie dough for the most part. It has a slight brown sugar taste with its sweetness, but still mainly has a generic cookie dough flavor with bits of added chocolate chips as well.
The chocolate cookie doughs are much bolder in flavor than their brown sugar counterparts. They have a more of a fudge flavor to them and are extremely rich. Therefore, these were easily the dominant flavor in the pint.
Chocolate flakes were also added into the base, but they didn't really offer much besides a slight crunch every few bites. They did have a darker, drier chocolate flavor to them, but that taste was minimal.
Overall, I wasn't that impressed with this pint. The base was gummier and the vanilla bean was lacking flavor. Although the brown sugar cookie dough chunks were a little too dry, they did have a nice cookie dough flavor with a hint of sweet, brown sugar taste. The chocolate cookie dough chunks were easily the best part of the pint with their gooey, and extremely rich fudge flavor. Despite the minor letdowns, I still enjoyed this pint more than Sea Salt Butter Pecan. BI.C.E.D.
