Big fan of both

Not a fan of Gooey Butter Cake. The base is very, very similar to Graeter's Cheese Crown, which I didn't like at all. It's my own fault, really. Should've known that I wouldn't be a fan of a cream cheese base. My fiancee loves it though, so I'm gonna give the rest of the pint to her.

Blackout Cake though is really damn good. The bitter chocolate pieces make it for me.

ugasar, how would you compare/rate the Jeni's Pumpkin Cakre Roll to Ben & Jerry's Pumpkin Cheesecake if you have had the B&J flavor of course? I ask because Pumpkin Cheesecake is one of my personal favorite flavors of any ice cream. Broken and messed up taste buds? Maybe but hey I like what I like. Jeni's flavor sounds real good and looking to give it a try with a few other flavors I have not had from her/them yet.

Makes sense. The base makes it for me and I love Cheese Crown.

I’ve scooped B&J PC more times than I can remember and the swirl has been acceptable over those 5011 times. Kind of hard to compare the two but they are very different. Jeni’s was less sweet and more earthy. Like you’ve said the cake pieces were the star IMO.

Flavor of Record: Solid for a forced pack selection but passable for Choose Your Own Story

Nectar of Queens: Quality for good (AH is hit or miss IMO) but passable for Choose Your Own Story

The Hook: Surprisingly good, best of the pack not name Gowanus. Wouldn’t be a bad Choose Your Own Story option

Interesting, I didn't get much cinnamon much on The Hook.The honey on Nectar of Queens overpowered the mix-ins for me. More of those and I would have like it more.

If was actually fine with this one until the last two brownies, super spicy and just not enjoyable. Their chocolate base is so weak the cinnamon base and dough dominated which was fine.

Blood Orange Cranberry Sauce (v)
Forget the jiggly cranberry tower emerging from its can. We cook Pacific Northwest cranberries with a little sugar until they burst and thicken, then hit them with some crimson blood oranges. Coconut cream mellows out the bright, tart vegan ice cream.

Well, I finally got to have this one and... as was expected, it's a 10/10.

To be honest, it might be in my top 3 flavors of all time. Between the base sweet potato flavor, the light/sweet maple marshmallow swirl, and the sweet pecans, I don't think I could imagine an ice cream doing this theme more justice.

I mean 1/4 of an inch in, and the swirl is oozy out... well done S&S... well done...

Bought 2 pints, and i'll probably buy 2 more.

Candycopia was great, but it wasn’t unique in the sense that it’s essentially tons of housemade familiar candy and a butterscotch base. Again, it’s great, but I prefer this one just for the uniqueness... it’s amazing...

Never had the turkey one, but I also grabbed a scoop of the sage / cornbread one, which sounds right up my alley

If you can get to a scoop shot the Thanksgiving flavors are all pretty much with a flight selection. Sweet Potato and the Peach/Sage Stuffing have been bangers for me before.

The line up was the same from last year so I passed on a order and went with AH since the put no limits on Gowanus orders.

The Sage / Cornbread Flavor has me really conflicted.

The taste/texture of the cornbread cookies and the peach swirl are awesome... really mix well together. But due to the sage in the base, it overpowers the sweetness in the mix ins and turns it into a very savory ice cream.

It’s very spot on stuffing flavor, not cookies, UNLESS you pick at the mix ins separately.

I’m not sure how I feel about it simply because the flavors clash quite a bit when the sage in the base hits everything. I would have preferred it stay just sweet, because the base turns it into a 'meal' taste instead of a treat for me.

I’m basically satisfied after 1/2 cup.

Not yet, but I'll see if I can. The flaw in it is it's cookie dough, so the malt powder will do next to nothing for it unless it's a baked cookie chopped into pieces. Malted milk powder needs to be exposed to dry heat to caramelize and give its unique flavor and chewiness to cookies.

Interesting. I ordered pint through a friend, well worth the small investment.

Tried AH Captain America last night. Decent but not spectacular.
