Tbh, my skepticism was at 10 when this came out. Artificial coloring to hide otherwise plain cupcakes? Sweet cream base? gtfo.

But icecreamaddiction from IG, awared me that the flavor was quite good...somehow. So I said fug it. Include 2 in order.



Are the cupcakes anything other than plain? No. But they are soft and soak up the melted ice cream like sponges.

And ice cream filled sponges are pretty good when its an AH base we are talking about.



Yet this flavor wouldn't have worked nearly as well if not for these chunks of cupcake frosting that are thrown in.

Each one is bigger than a Graeter's Choc Chunk. Srs. Intensely sweet and smooth yet not pasty/oily as is sometimes the case (with other companies) which lower icing costs by using shortening (cheaper than butter and lasts longer).



It works together with the surrounding ice cream to make you think that in fact it's a "frosting" flavored base.

So yeah, pint full of frosting + moist cake pieces = worth it flavor. If you have the option, buy a hand-packed with confidence.

There's some iciness with the strawberries. It would have been better if they boiled it down and made it a jam.

Now, she sells at supermarkets and nationally via Goldbely + has more efficient marketing methods. Your complaints, broken hearts, and purchases will not affect the ultimate success of the company. And so you are treated as such.

But this is not Grace's fault. All those of you who defended her beyond the quality of the product because you fell in love with her story helped create what has evolved into a lesser brand.

I'll go through this shipment. Depending on how mine turns out, it might be the last time. I'm fine with Graeters and B&J. And the occasional Handel's. My ice cream consumption has gone way down with my new job hours, I can only eat it on my off days. I do Pop Tarts or something like that now that I can pack.

Still though, when I sit down with a bowl, I want it to be good. Hopefully my pints don't suck. I just finished my last pint of Slutty mDough and thought it was fantastic. My 2nd pint of Cinnamon Churro has been better, but still a letdown.

I know Little G has sent out plenty of wrong orders and bad pints, but nothing gets said in public. I've heard enough bad things about this current pack that it has me concerned for my order. If I get any bad pints, I'm not sure I'll order her ice cream anymore. Gamble my money on her, or spend my money on Salt and Straw where I know I'll get good pints. Easy choice.

I guess it depends on the person. We both follow the same general community but I don't take a ton of insight from a lot of them. That isn't a slight, just my outlook. It does look like more and more people are being vocal.

This pack is dangerously close to cancel status to avoid disaster.

I would be hard pressed to order again except under certain circumstances if she misses badly here quality control wise. I'm fine with gambling on flavors to some degree but the issues in Eric's shipment are redlines.

The story here seems to go like this: a community was built up whose heart was "touched" by the emotional story of a 17 year with a medical condition (founding of the White Knights), they swore under moral convictions to oath that all who criticized her were "bad people", "weirdos", "liars", etc, and initially she made a fun product that actually kept them 90% happy even if it had flaws (cheap mix-ins, icy pints, etc...you know the stuff the terrible people who are liars like me pointed out).

Unfortunately, the princess didn't know how to manage a growing company yet wanted to grow and she started f*&king up in more and more blatant ways (mediocre flavors, poor mix-in density, people with no swirls, etc). But the community was already formed and people like versakhan, jeezy, seansskillet, junkbanter, kid who write HYPE on everything, etc were pumping out "errr mer geerrddd 10/10 10/10 10/10 JUST BUY IT!!!!" reviews to convince all that reality was not thus. Beyond that there was clearly a large following of "nice girls" and alllllll these people were going to look negatively at anyone who defected.

Now she is big enough so that NONE of these people matter. Want to complain? DM? Lel. E-mail? Sure thing m8. Contact corporate at golbely.com just like a regular client. That's what everyone is.

All those who thought they were doing her a favor by "holding back criticism" didn't realize that one of the meanest things you can do to someone is to set them up to fail.

You make a very valid point, and I'm not getting on the hate train yet because I haven't scooped my mdoughw pibt or this round of flavors that just released. I will have my opinions very soon! All I can hope is that this was a bad batch of production and that this is NOT the end of the Little g era!







Little g Coconut Caramel Fudge Cookie


Up next from the Little g Spring Ahead pack is Coconut Caramel Fudge Cookie. This seemed to get mixed reviews from many people. However, I was excited for the play off of Samoas since that is one of my favorite Girl Scout Cookies.



The coconut base is sugary and sweet. It is smooth and tastes exactly like coconut. It really reminds me of coconut drink sans alcohol, such as a pina colada. Unlike Cowboy Cookie, this pint doesn't have any shreds of coconut in the base, which suited me just fine because there is plenty more at play here to keep things interesting.



The sugar cookies pieces are soft, chewy and crumbled up into bite size pieces. At first you don't get much of a taste because of the coconut base overpowering it. However, on the back end of each bite you get an aftertaste of sweet vanilla that is reminiscent of an actual sugar cookie.



I don't think you can hate on Little g's fudge swirl. As usual, it is extremely dense, thick and has somewhat of a gritty texture that I actually enjoy quite a bit. The flavor has a rich fudge taste, like brownie batter mix before it goes into the oven. It also pairs extremely well with the coconut base.



The salted caramel swirl was severely lacking in this pint. There was one tiny section of the pint that had some caramel stuck to the side, but it still wasn't even that noticeable.



I was expecting the coconut caramel clusters to have a caramel filling, but this was not the case. They are pretty much like chunks of chocolate that have more of a milk chocolate flavor when compared to the fudge swirl. However, they did also have a strong coconut flavor that was similar to the base. They provided a harder chew than the cookie pieces, but still weren't crunchy or rock hard.



This was an extremely tasty pint that had tons of mixins to keep you interested. The coconut base couldn't have had a better flavor. The sugar cookie pieces were soft, chewy and provided just enough flavor to stand out. The coconut clusters were slightly harder with a nice balance of chocolate and coconut flavors. The dense fudge swirl had a rich brownie flavor that contrasted the coconut base perfectly. I think this was one of those pints where you were either for it or against it. As for me, I enjoyed it a lot, despite the lacking salted caramel swirl. B+

In better news, I put my faith in the B&J flavor locator and tracked down Chubby Hubby. I should have listened to Lazy a while ago.

Be that as it may, the fact that it's only available at a random drug store compared with the minimum 5 Publix, 5 Kroger, two Targets and two Walmarts I frequent is absurdity.

I see what you're trying to say here about me, but I will tell you you're wrong. Please don't get my "sadness/10" rating mixed up with that's me trying to be nice to Little g. That's me saying the pint was so bad it doesn't even deserve a numerical rating. I find rating pints that are missing so many components pointless. If you want to go and look at my previous Little g ratings, you'll see the last two orders from her, I've given her mainly 7s and 8s for ratings. Those are ratings that are saying her flavors haven't been anything special. In fact, only 3 flavors out of the 12 pints I got were 9 or above. Also, because I have a blog, I do try and keep the review details shorter and let people who want to know more, visit my blog.

Since the release of this pack, NO ONE has said they got 6 good pints in this pack. I don't mean 6 flavors that are all great tasting, I'm talking 6 pints that have both sufficient and quality mix ins. When realizing this is the issue, I'm going to be cancelling my order and looking to order from a company that knows how to send out 100% quality pints.

Yup. After I made my previous post, I went on IG and found a handful of "new" accounts that have come out and said they got multiple bad pints. Ratings hitting as low as 4/10 due to icy bases and bad mix ins.

These people feel emboldened to complain now because she stopped collabing with Eric and thereby rustled him so the hammer came down, but many look up to/follow him so in that video there is also an implicit permission to speak for the pleebs.

Got to dig into my Little G pints (after a full dinner at a Brazilian style steakhouse mind you. The gluttony is real tonight).

- Mud Pie is top level for me. It's one of the best flavors she's done. The salted brownie batter swirl is phenomenal.
- Magic Bar is a big miss. Tons of mix ins, but the ice cream is hard and crumbles when you scoop it. Da fuq
- Cookie Butter is nicely done, if not a simple flavor. Really strong cookie butter flavor.
- Never had Baklava before, and I don't think I want to. Found out the hard way I'm not a big "honey" guy. Tons of honey flavor here.
- Buckeye. Mines not as icy hard as everyone else's it seems. At first I couldn't spoon any out and thought it was an ice block...until I realized I was trying to scoop a golf ball size chunk of peanut butter. It's a good flavor, but nothing special.
- Cinnamon Sticky bun. Hi there, can I please have some not dried out, frozen pieces of sticky bun in my ice cream please? This could've been awesome. The salted caramel base was an awesome choice to our with the cinnamon and pecans...but my sticky bun pieces are like rocks and crumble away when you bite into them.

Just order 6 mud pie and you'll be happy.

In before my shipment arrives next Thursday, and I let it sit in my freezer for 2-3 months without touching them. THEN.... They turn out to be the best QC pints of all the ones Grace has shipped to consumers.

I will have reviews for you guys, just down the road. I want to get to the bottom of this and see what's going on with the QC!

I've been pretty set on ordering from her later in the cycle rather than earlier. I don't know how much that could help this time.

Now, I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but if they've had this many issues and don't have a plan to fix it, I'm not sure they will. I know they're very close to selling out, so maybe they'll finish this pack up and adjust for the next?

Either way, I have not seen ONE person have 6 good pints, so I will be cancelling my order today unless I hear about a fix.

They absolutely have to do something about it. My fear is that production is to large to guarantee the same won't happen going forward. Finishing up the pack and waiting until next time was essentially the play they ran last time. I don't see how that will fly for returning customers.

I canceled my order for Little g. I told them in my cancellation message that this pack was a huge mess and I didn't want anything to do with it. That makes 2 packs in a row that Little g has come out with great sounding flavors and completely under delivered.

I'll be ordering Salt and Straw next week, unless someone comes out with flavors worthy of ordering.
