Was unaware about the 6 pint hack. On spread good sir.
Ugasar, my friend, you know that I won't convince you out of "exploring", but unless you are planning on placing 2 orders the regrets will be real if the other flavors bumps out extras of these two.
My last two pints before heading back to Switzerland:
PB&J greatness confirmed.
But that was my last pint. F0k. However, I still have a 5 more of these
Check out the genius maple marshmallow swirl: literally both elements. That aspect was more noticeable on this re-scoop.
It's going to be hard to continue to reshuffle my S&S top 5 "objectively". At these levels of satisfaction, the mind starts to fail.

Switzerland?! Man you get around!
Placed an order using my other Goldbely voucher for the "Night at the Awards Show" pack from Little G, but swapped out That Peanut Butter Brownie Dough for Maple Pecan French Toast. Will probably get flamed for that in this thread but meh.
Picked up pints of B&J's Phish Food (first time having it) and Milk and Cookies. I found Phish Food to be solid, but nothing spectacular. Couldn't really find the caramel, but the marshmallow swirl was damn near everywhere, as well as the fudge fish. Nothing ground breaking, just enjoyable.
And I opened up my second to last pint of 7-11 S'mores...so beautiful.iForce Blueberry Muffin: forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=169778043

Good idea. PB Brownie Dough will be a poor imitation of PB Half Baked (B&J has brownies that are as good, better cookie dough, and - of course - better ice cream).
I'll order once I see more evidence on how the flavors turn out, but my guess is it'll go 2 Puppy Chow 4 French Toast (her swirl-less flavors can't cut it, Animal Crackers are poverty, and Cowboy doesn't do it for me a priori bc her dough is too hard).

I see I missed some issues with Little G. I placed an order right around Thanksgiving and some of the pints were a little icy but not as bad as the more recent reports. I was actually thinking about placing another order but that's on hold.

We'll try to keep this thread shill proof and bulls*t free. Part of that effort has involved correcting Little G hype/lies.
Fearing something like that, I only went ahead with 1 pint. However, if there is enough caramel, the lack of cookie swirl - though upsetting - will probably be sufficiently compensated for me to not end up enraged.
Appreciate the heads up.
In other news, Ample Hills being lazy as usual and following the Taco Bell model: take what you already have, repackage it, come up with a new name, and profit.

Ample Hills Hot As Honey
If you have scooped Ample Hills Sweet As Honey, then this review will seem quite similar. Forget about the sweet cream base in terms of flavor. It is easily drowned out by the honey, and pretty much impossible to get a spoonful of just the base because of all the honey.
The honey here is very similar to Sweet As Honey, but with a slight spicy kick to it. It is very very mild in terms of spice, however. In fact, there are some bites where the honey just takes over with no spice to it at all. The only spice you really get is a slight tingle on the back of your throat every few spoonfuls.
I really didn’t get too many honeycomb pieces in this pint either. I remembered this happening in Sweet As Honey as well. I would get a few bites with a slight chew, but nothing that is going to change the flavor profile of this ice cream. They are pretty soft and mushy from being soaked in all of the honey Ample Hills threw into the pint.
I actually enjoyed this version a lot more than Sweet As Honey. The slight spiciness really helps to tame the overall sweetness of the pint. Don’t get me wrong, it is still sweet, but nowhere near what Sweet As Honey was, which was almost unbearable. The spice in the honey actually works in the ice cream’s favor. If you thought Sweet As Honey was too sweet, then give this one a scoop. You will enjoy a lot more! B

Salt & Straw Love Potion
This is another sorbet so I won’t bore you with the icy texture of the base that takes forever to temper. The base tastes like a combination of fruits. The dominant flavor is blood orange, but it has somewhat of a red berry flavor to it as well. The red berry gives it a bit of sweetness with each spoonful, but the blood orange leaves a pretty strong tart flavor at the end of each bite.
The chocolate covered pop rocks are far from what I was expecting. They basically looked and tasted like bits of pie crusts. I don’t know if it was because of the sorbet, but they were extremely hard and had a stale-like texture to them. They did not have any “pop” to them at all and were pretty much flavorless. The only thing they provided was a crunchy chew to each spoonful.
Lastly, the pint had strawberry slices in it. I enjoyed how they were abundant and very large. However, we know how hard it is to keep fruit pieces soft in ice cream, much less a sorbet. With that said, they had a tough, icy texture to them. However, the sweetness helped to tame the tart base quite a bit.
For a fruity ice cream, it wasn’t bad. The sweet and tart contrast of flavors was the only highlight of this pint. It was the icy strawberry slices and flavorless “pop rocks” that set this pint up for failure. I am glad this was my last pint of sorbet from Salt & Straw. I have learned to stick with the creamy, full-fat and dense ice creams instead. C-I.C.E.D.

S&S Compartes Chocolate’s California Love:
"While he claims to be a designer at heart, Jonathan Grahm at Compartes Chocolates is actually one of the more famous chocolatiers in the world....For this flavor, we are using his “California Love Chocolate Bar” as both inspiration and as an ingredient. Caramelized pretzels, Hazelnut fudge, and chocolate bars all swirled into a pretzel batter ice cream."
Folks, how am I not getting your support for this?
Description sounds incredible and the mix-ins include a freaking $10 dark chocolate sourghdough pretzel bar. *smh*

Meanwhile, OddFellows brought back some greatness:
Foie Gras Peanut Butter Cocoa
(From an old article) You're only allowed one scoop, as there's but a limited quantity of this decadent bastard that's laced with peanut butter and coco-caramel swirls. From our tester: "It basically tastes like vanilla ice cream, and you definitely get the peanut butter and caramel, plus a hint of rich, meaty flavor that's not too aggressive."

Not just that! They whole winter lineup is pretty sturdy in my opinion:
1) Roxbury Road
2) Bankgok Peanut
3) Juniper & Lemon Curd
4) Gooey Butter Cake
5) Queen City Cayenne
Looking forward to making another trip over to the scoop shop real soon to pick them all up. The lady & I actually went last night! I wanted some Dark Chocolate Peppermint before it left, but they were already sold out.. Settled for Brown Butter Almond Brittle on top of Salted PB with Chocolate Flecks, and she got plain ole vanilla with sprinkles!

Now the miser from OSS has moved on from attacking Jeni's prices to Little G's.
People, please don't give that web site traffic. If they'll act like they are in poverty, let their advertising revenue reflect it.
Looking at the votes things might go ok for us this year! Not that many sorbet or weird flower preference expressing folks.
