Fully agree that Dresden was the end of the world, but there is a difference in having a total war, in which the people of the country know about the coming danger and thus build bunkers, have emergency plans and can somewhat "prepare" for the unknowing (which is a paradoxon but it makes it simpler to explain) and having a city full of people, that have no clue about being attacked and thus have no bunkers, no emergency plans etc. Furthermore radiation did its part and killed thousands of people in the long run.
From a military and ethical pov you can not compare atomic bombs to any other weapons.
