I've been reading and watching YT videos trying to decide what I want to get into, and I think I wanna just hunt shiny pokemon and complete my pokedex

I live in a super rural area, so my Pokemon have been holding gyms for like a week, even tho they're down to 200 CP ea or whatever lol

There's just a handful of pokemon that can hit 4k.

Yeah, that's correct. CP doesn't really matter for defending gyms anyway though. Like, Dragonite has a high CP but he has a double weakness to ice so he can go down a lot faster than a Blissey of half the CP. Similarly, Machamp is a great pokemon for gym clearing and some raids despite capping out around 3k.

I'm a pokedex completionist myself. Full Kanto and Johto dex so far. I live in a small city though so I need them strong pokemon for gyms/raids. All Tier 3 raids are soloable if you have good teams.

Here’s mine. I’m pretty behind as far as maxed out Pokémon as I took some time away from the game during some crucial times( hence no rays or Groudon in the top twelve). I don’t power anything up that isn’t high cp and iv, don’t care how long it takes to find one and only those that are meta relevant. The only exception are 100% iv pokes and it still depends who they are. So far I have ten( 2 dragonite, porygon, wailmer, raichu, squirtle, salamence, and a few others I’ve forgotten). I’ll be on later today and will add you. I added you Charles.

got 13 of us to run around and we managed 4 Armored Mewtwo's down before the event ended

Make sure you're friending up with anyone that you raid with regularly too. It's +4 premier balls if you're doing a raid with a "Best friend".

Searched all the 1 and 2 star Mons and transferred almost all of them. Just type 1*, 2*, 3* or 4* in the search bar to find out what's what.

Yeah. The 3-6pm CST really sucks too. Saturday from 1-4pm is perfect timing. Hate that they are always changing the days and the times.

until they fixed the android quick catch bug it was going to be an xp marathon but now im just gonna use the gotcha. mudkips are meh anyhow. dust is the big thing for me though so ill do a few hundred red balls and get 30-40K dust plus line up some hatches for double that

My first Community Day was a blast! Not very lucky though.

It was sweet to see 1000+ people running around screaming out about high CP or shiny pokemon.

I played for all 3 hours, got 350k+ xp, but only caught 4 shinies.

Did add 2 decent Swamperts and a wild Alohan Exeggutor to my top lineup tho





for the next community day in 2 weeks I'm gonna buy some PoGO pluses or Gotcha's and start new accounts and see if I can get more shinies that way

I was out this weekend looking to get an Armoured Mewtwo and some bad storms rolled in. Power went out in quite a few cities (fallen trees everywhere) and there went that. With no home internet, people must have been overloading the cell towers as my T-Mobile reception made the game unplayable.

I’m always skeptical of things when Niantic first introduced then. Normally something better or easier comes along shortly after it’s introduced which makes you want to kick yourself for wasting stardust or money.
