Deadlifts are the only workout I have to do later in the day due to time constraints. It usually takes me 2+ hours too.
Squats looking good, you are a strong lady.

I've been looking for new foods to incorporate into my eating plan. So far I picked cliff protein bar (~$1 for 20g protein and 280 cals), and fruit snacks (carb source only, 20 or 40g carbs around training). I REALLLY REALLLY (Really) want to buy the pre-made protein shakes again but at $2/ 20g protein, it feels a little ridiculous.
Any ideas? Convenience and price are high priorities. Taste is a low priority (lol). I'm looking for low fat+protein+carb source or carb source only. It's easy for me to get fat grams in because I prefer dark meat, butter, cheese. Looking for a few snacks to round out my meals.
edited to add: what I really need is beer that has protein in it.Last edited by tina722; 06-25-2017 at 02:50 PM.

Wade says grinding is an art and not everyone can do it. I never put much thought into it. I just do it because I hate when the weight gets the best of me. Way to hang in there!

It's funny how easy it is, once I'm through the sticking point
I'm glad you found me! 8 ish years in the weight room and the last two of them on powerlifting progrmas - it's slowly adding up, faster on these programs those.
Thanks! the cliff bars have been really handy. I'm surprised at how much I like the fruit snacks too - instant energy!
Your grinds have been epic. Form usually maintained too. I usually feel like I move to a risky position to complete the movement.
I got it done.http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=172554141

Good energy. Finally. Fruit snacks are great, I don't eat a lot of carby stuff and even less sugar, so the amount of energy i get from this caught me off guard. Despite running into the issue pretty regularly, lol, I always forget how much low cals + time of month hits me. I should design my eating plan around that, not training. Squats moved pretty well, some form/technique inconsistencies. I'm excited to work on it and get them out - elbows always tend to come up, but I did a pretty good job of remembering to reset and put them down before starting a new lift. It doesn't guarantee that I'll keep my torso tight/straight but it makes it more likely. Trying to get more consistent in the walk-out and the breath in. I think I have a 240 or 245 double in me if I can get these worked out.http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=172554141

Wade suggested it. The heel makes me lean forward too much. The flats have been nice for staying more upright. I had been doing a traditional high bar squat, but we switched to flats and I brought the bar lower as well, this low bar-style fits my proportions/strengths really nicely. This explains the comfort with the heavier weights too. The caveats are my heels come up and I don't always reach depth, but I think we aren't worrying too much about it.

Well, that's cool that you're feeling really good with the changes! I bet the heels coming up and depth will resolve themselves soon enough, since you've only recently switched over.
I am convinced that people who deadlift with raised heels secretly have a deep love of deficit deadlifts, but don't want to admit it.
