Is comptia A+ worth getting without any IT experience

Will it help me get an entry level job in IT?

It couldn't hurt, but nowadays, for entry level stuff you'd be better off working on Security+ or some sort of MCSA stuff (if you wanna go Sys Admin route) or Network+/CCNA (if you wanna go Networking route).

    Or coding, etc.

FYI the A+ was the first cert I got too. It's good to have a solid foundation and wide berth of knowledge but most would say just to figure out what you like and specialize in it. You'd be surprised how many coders, DBAs, etc. couldn't fix their own computer if their life depended on it.

No IT experience. Just the A+? Nope...doubt your resume would even reach the desk of a hiring manager unless they're lying and just trying to find people to harvest their organs.

Nah..I'd say get your CCNA and try landing an entry level helpdesk position.

A+ is absolutely useless. Don't do this unless you intend to teach A+ courses or something.

i wont say its useless. Some places that are hiring its required. Just study and take the test. If you can't pass it then you aren't ready to have an IT career.

it wont hurt your chances. the way i see it, if your looking for an entry level job with no experience, the cert shows you understand the basics. use A+ as a stepping stone and move on up to the other certs

    Yes.

I had zero IT experience. Got an an associates degree and the A+ certification and it helped me get a non-paid internship at a data center, which led to my current Sys Admin job.

Yes and no, if you've got a solid technical background and with practical experience then having the CompTIA A+ on your resume will increase your chances on getting selected for interview. But on its own without knowledge and work experience then CompTIA isn't going to do much for you.

As others have already said CompTIA is a stepping stone certification, just to show your competencies. You can try the "Aplus Dumps" Study guide www.aplusdumps.co.uk if you're serious about sitting the exam

Yeah you could probably get a help desk job with A+ or even a CCENT (CCNA would prob be better).

Just gotta get your foot in the door and start working toward more advanced certs CCNP, security, and AWS while gaining work experience. You could also go the web developer route and start working on a coding portfolio.

CCENT and A+ will get you in the door for a help desk position. From there you just work your way up. I started my first IT job in March 2015 I believe. I had no certs and made $12 an hour. Only cert I got now is my A+, but I'm up to $50 an hour. Certifications don't matter, but it's hard to get an interview with no IT degree, or certs, or experience.

CCNA, or any mid-level certs will not help you at all without experience, so it's not even worth getting them until you have 3-5 years of experience.

A+ gets you in the door. Its helpful though since it covers all the basics you actually do need to understand how to do service desk / general IT support.
Generally if someone has no experience I would look for an A+ minimum (otherwise I wouldnt even interview). Once you have a year or two experience in the field A+ devalues itself in relation to experience. But its a $300 cert, so not exactly breaking the bank to potentially get a job.
