Hey guys, I am here to present to you a potential way to increase height.
This experiment is backed by solid theory from numerous pieces of research and reliable sources as well as some anecdotal evidence.
Any height gains will be within a certain range so do not expect a huge growth spurt.
I will try to keep this as concise as possible. Do not bother to comment saying "There is no way you can grow, its all genetics" etc. Remember this is merely an experiment based on solid theory and some evidence. All im providing you currently is theory and some evidence so any supplements/products you choose to buy, do so at your own risk.
How do I promote growth?
To put it simply, by providing your body with the nutrients it needs and increasing levels of growth hormone and levels of androgens (Testosterone, DHT etc) and lowering estrogens. This may cause your bones to elongate as long as your growth plates are open.
Growth Hormone levels:
During adolescence, HGH remains high especially in the earlier stages of puberty. The ideal age range for increasing height is 18-20, as it wont interfere with the majority of pubertal growth yet HGH levels are still moderately higher (around 50-60%)
After you reach your early 20s, HGH tends decline sharply by half the amount, leaving you with around 25-30%.

Increasing HGH:
Exercise is a great way to increase levels of HGH in the body and promote growth, specifically resistance/anaerobic exercises and other exercises that are taxing on the body. One of the most effective exercises is of course sprinting. Sprinting is known to increase levels of HGH by over 500% and also increases levels of Test/DHT in the body. It speeds up metabolism but only burns fat since the presence of HGH means all nutrients go to lean mass and fat is burnt. This effect lasts a day or two. Sprinting is also an excellent way to increase core strength as the core works to stabilize itself after each stride whilst under massive amounts of pressure.
Though this may be limited by simple physics, as the faster you already are, the more you will benefit from this. However, on average, expect to see very quick gains in mass and strength in the torso area especially abs and obliques. Do not attempt to do this more than three times a week as it could be too taxing on your body. For the slower guys, I would recommend running up hills as it is another great way to increase HGH, it may be very tiring, but thats exactly why it works. I personally do sprints of 100m 2-3 times per session.

What are growth plates?
The epiphyseal plate (or epiphysial plate, physis, or growth plate) also known as a secondary ossification center, is a hyaline cartilage plate in the metaphysis at each end of a long bone. The plate is found in children and adolescents; in adults, who have stopped growing, the plate is replaced by an epiphyseal line. Growth plate closure is accelerated by estrogen but is delayed by androgens.
There are growth plates in the spine, arms, and legs.
Growth plates in the arms tend to close at around 15-16. Growth in the legs usually is finished by the time you reach 18-20. Growth plates in the spine however, also known as endplates, usually close at around 23-25 and at the very earliest - around 19 although this is uncommon. I wouldnt recommend delaying it till then, remember, once you go past the 18-20 range your natural HGH production will eventually but sharply decline by half.

Things to consider:
Make sure to sleep between 7-9 hrs for optimal body function
If you have poor posture, it is possible to gain 1-2 cm simply by correcting your posture thereby showing your actual height.
Increasing height in spine:
Here are some of the stretches to promote growth in the spine that you might want to look into
Cobra Stretch
Cat Stretch
Pigeon Pose
Wide legged forward bend
Table stretch (Careful with this one)
These stretches work through decompression and compression of the spine in order to create microfractures in the cartilage, which when under the correct nutrition and hormonal environment, can cause an increase in thickness and height of the cartilage. Make sure to do at least 2 or 3 of the stretches in the list regularly every day
If you are in the 18-20 age range then expect somewhat fast results with maximum gains of 2-3+ inches. If you are older then it will take more time till you see results as naturally produced HGH levels are lower. If you are 25+ your spinal growth plates are most likely closed, so you can only gain 1-2 inches max, in the intervertebral discs.

Increasing height in the legs:
The best ways to increase height in the legs are as previously mentioned, sprinting and running up hills.
Not only do these exercises increase HGH, they also create microfractures in the shins which when healed can contribute to height
Expect to gain around 2 inches max regardless of age, however if you are past the 18-20 age range, you may need some more time to see results.

Overall you can expect a maximum total height gain of 4-5 inches provided you are in the correct age range
My personal experience: I am currently 18 years old and started at a height of around 5'8. After doing some extensive research I decided some methods myself combined with knowledge I gained. I did spinal stretches during summer for a couple weeks and gained 1-2 cm, bringing me up to 5'9. However I soon became busy and had to postpone it all. By giving you this knowledge I hope to help others and also observe whether this experiment works through you guys and your own experience with these methods.
