    I have gotten fat and weak as fuk in the last year. 230 lb of bloat and my lifts are at around half of my ATHs.

    Registered for a 10 mile tough Mudder run in July. Following the recommended plan below to lean out and will worry about putting muscle back on when I’m no longer a fat bastard. On week 1.

    thats been the repeating cycle for me. "binge" on **** food but stay in deficit, fast the next day, binge again late night, fast during the day, repeat

    Yeah I do that at least once a week. Usually pizza with a bunch of whiskey. I actually did a wage bet on HealthyWage to try to keep me in check. I have 6 months to drop 20 pounds which shouldn’t be hard. And it lines up perfect with a vacation to the Caribbean if it happens.

    Covid really did a number on my eating and drinking habits.

    Sup boyos. I came back just to see if anyone from this thread was still kicking around.

    Started cutting this week at 225 (!). My avatar is super old butt if I remember right that was about 180. Fixing to get shredded for this summer. Or give up and just drink until i can't focus well enough to see myself in the mirror.

    i got home after lifting and fasting all day. 5.1lb swing on the scale lol, 168.5 this morning, 163.4 rn. making steak tacos now and drinking an IPA. theres a live band and like 200 cars at my local bar 400 yards away. might go there and flex my triceps and see if i can get any bites

    woke up, ate i cup oats with blueberries and vanilla greek yogurt, and a banana. did legs but thought i had to be to work early so i only did front squats and hacks. squats were 135x12, 135x12, 185x10, 205x10, 225x6, 225x6. hacks 2 plates 4 sets of 12. poverty workout but at least i did something and was second leg day of the week. my legs are garbage. maybe ill go back and do leg extensions and leg curls after work

    Although I think I'll always have chicken legs, I did get taller since last time I posted. Had back surgery last December and apparently gained an inch or two.

    getting used to 500 lbs on your bar doing calf raises will get your body used to the load a bit. Also quarter squats with a weight you can't do to depth will get your stabilizers, spine, and knees a bit used to it too. FWIW leg raises and machines built my legs better as I was able to go until I couldn't walk from the machine and fall every time.

    I go through rounds of wanting to be strong af in squats, then look at my leg size and decide it's not worth the injury to go as heavy as I can.

    Then I see someone smaller than me squatting higher weights, get motivated, and I want to hit them hard again. Then I tweak my knee. I'm too stubborn to put on sleeves or use a belt because I watch too much Clarence Kennedy
