this game is fuking dog chit. I don't understand wtf im doing wrong but every 2nd pass is a god damn int, but when they throw the ball directly into my CB's hands he's got oven mitts on and can't catch the fuking thing.

the fuking playbook is af on offense. your play timer will run but you can't select plays.

tempted to toss this game right out the window i've never been so fuking mad at a video game in my life.

I don't fuking get it. I go play solo draft against the computer and chit kick it. it's too easy.

i go do unranked draft. Draft an 81 overall team and throw 2 picks right away... but my opponent manages to do 3 long bombs and catch them while contested with my db's


is there different throws i can do or something? the tutorial on this new madden is straight dog chit.

r u phuckin kidding me? This is the best set of tutorials ive ever seen. They literally go through ever different type of pass, how to do them, and when to do them. Maybe stop being lazy.

looking for good playboks and formations to make schemes out of. Ive had great success in earlier years with:

Gun.

Come out in a run (dont remember which one)
If the box is empty then run
if the box isn then switch to a pass
if corners are in press i would streak my fast guy or i would slant.
if corners were off i would curl my wrs or inside route.

thats what i would do every single time. literally like 4 diff plays but they always worked. At firs i felt bad till i read that the colts ran 6 plays all year when they won the SB. I feel like gun isnt the greatest this year though.


also, ill take any help i can get on defence.

fyi- i like coming out in the same formation every single time because when they see what positins are coming out it doesnt matter, because the same ones come out every time and ill run or pass from it.

I get wrecked constantly with Palmer in shotgun for some reason. That one formation. I seem to get a lot of sacks on D playing against it as well.

Formation depends on teams strengths really. I can play with pistol (3wr 1rb 1TE) and make adjustments after I see a formation.

Regardless, the fact still stands. You think the tutorial is dogchit but you didnt even do it. Its the most in depth tutorial ive ever seen in this game.

Picked up the game last night, so far I like it, haven't played since Madden 15.

The thing that's kicking my ass is trying to get a pass off and being hit, tossing the ball backwards, fumble.

Never used to happen in the old games

Is MUT still fun to play if you dont have PS+? I never use my PS4 so I'm not about to spend $50 for online (which is fukkin bullshiet) + $60 for the game.

SRS - I have played probably 15 games so far of M17 (full games) and any picks I've thrown were cause I made a poor decision. They WILL punish you if you try and play hero ball. Be smart.

I am killin it right now with steelers and coming out in gun every time.

I've notice though that it's hard to burn someone on a streak. Last year with a 95+ speed wr if I was pressed on the line is audible to a streak and he would ruin the guy and get a gap every time

yea, this year the streak and long bombs are much more tame, short to medium passes are the way to go, but a TE drag is still the most OP route in the game

Any tips on disabling juke/spin commands? have lost chances to get away on an easy open hole due to the game forcing me to do this

If I get J. BROWN (ovr 73) on a outside streak and the safety lets him go one on one with the CB I can usually bomb it

for anyone who plays online (saying this to get exposure so EA patches) if there's names under the WRs/RBs it will be a pass play everytime, if theres no names at all it will be a run play (right after you pick a play on defense), every year there's some sort of online exploit just want to play a fair game of football without any BS..

Have they patched it yet? I keep hearing about wonky play mechanics (Ex. having a field goal kicked short resulting in a touchdown when the opposing team attempts to return it). Also, there seems to be a lot of dropped balls for no discernible reason.

I noticed when I fired up the game the other day that it said, "Downloading Updated Commentary" and my jaw dropped.

Does that mean we'll get upgrades throughout the year? That would be SO freakin' awesome, and unprecedented in sports gaming.


The game's not perfect, but it's dang good and it's presentation is the best in Madden I've ever seen.

Ya some of the dropped balls get crazy. Fitzgerald wide open drops without getting hit.

I hope they fix the AI. I've admittedly reset a couple franchise games cause I'll be up 28 points just for some ridiculous **** to start happening. I can stop the run constantly just for the next two plays from the other team to be +70 yard TD runs.

(im a good player though, 11-3 h2h record) Whats the difference of the different game modes for online play? Is it once you start a tournament your team is locked in and you cant improve it? I get confused

does this game feel sloppy to anyone else? Don't get me wrong, I like the game, but at certain points the announcers say things that are out of whack and there's definitely a few glitches. The other day I got picked off in the endzone and the announcer yelled "touchdown!" lmao. I'm sure EA will take care of it; at least I hope they will.

So I was playing last night, I started an ultimate team, the game crashes and says "Cannot connect to server". All progress lost. So I start a Draft Champions. I pick about 10 players and I get the same error message. Pretty awesome.

define different game modes? You mean MUT vs Draft Champions or Salary Cap vs normal?

MUT you have to own the cards to use them, draft champions you dont

Regular is the same as MUT, but each card has a salary value and your team must be below the cap to play salary cap
