I read it, had no problems loading the page. Interesting stuff, if people would read articles like that and serious strength coaches like Zatsiorsky than maybe we could prevail against broscience.

    Of course, genetics.

    HGH? Probably not.

It's easy to dismiss others' achievements. Probably better to recognise the the hard work and dedication that top level athletes put in.

Thanks guys, makes you think if short ground contact times are the way to train all sprinters regardless.

What Bolt is showing, I think, is that ground contact times need to be as short as possible relative to stride length. Longer stride length = longer ground contact time. Especially where taller athletes are involved.

Did a paper in uni on his biomechanics, analysed everything on this program measured his stride length, time and distance to top speed, rtc and measured against other sprinters

Long story short he has long legs/long stride length and he maintains top speed until the finish while others tend to slow down

And add the other genetic traits that make up an elite sprinter like anterior pelvic tilt, strong glutes and fast muscle fibres

So sprinters have imbalances? Is it better to try to fix them or does it help with their performance?
