    progressive overload

    say i did 4 sets of 6 reps for squats, my form was iffy so i want to stay at 6 reps, but i add a 5th set. is that still using progressive overload?

    Yes. Anything which adds volume is progressive overload, technically.

    But don't attempt to program for yourself. Use a set workout routine like the ones listed in this forum. Your method isn't optimal. If your form is "iffy", lower the weight and perfect it. If you've just done 24 reps of "iffy" squats, adding another 6 is going to set you up for injury.

    You keep making threads about having bad form... An injury like a tear in your hip or slipped disk could set you back a year! If your form is iffy at 4x6 then you stay at 4x6 until it all feels great and then you add weight or reps.
