I always had more gains when the weight is at 75% and I hit 10-12 reps.

Wanna look like a powerlifter and lift big numbers train like a powerlifter. Wanna look like a bb'er train like one. You can gain muscle doing high reps but your not going to gain strength as quickly or as much (although there is some carry-over).

That is probably the ideal way to train if all you care about is adding muscle. It'll add some strength as a bi-product but not to the extent as if he were doing sets with 85 - 90% of his 1RM.
I worked with this Nigerian guy who trained like this, his weights were very moderate, I don't think I ever saw him do over 185 on bench but he was military precise with his reps, every single rep clean as fuk and over and over again. Dudes body was carved out of stone. I always chalked it up to genetics how he was so lean but maybe he was on to something.

Just seems so fuking boring tho
I like lifting heavy stuff and straining and making a fool of myself doing hoodrat things

Lifting hard and lifting heavy are not the same thing... but, you bet your ass you NEED to lift HARD to make clear improvements to your physique.

I don't know why you clowns who want to look better keep shying away from hard work. literally every single human who looks good, trains hard.

It's genetics... West African (Nigerian) with a good physique? Oh SAY IT AIN'T SO. OBVIOUSLY those guys don't have to lift stupidly heavy or hard to get the job done.

Yeah but the guy I was talking about was a random white guy who trained the same way. He was working intensely, just not heavy. As in he was doing supersets on everything and pumping out a lot of reps. I'm sure I could out-lift the guy but he definitely looked better.
You rock a piss, I'm gonna rock some Mitchell
