Listen, I know what you are thinking but the Deadlift is the ultimate fight of you VS the bar.
you can't half rep a deadlift.
you can't bounce a deadlift.
you can't arch to get an easier deadlift.
you won't have a spotter to help the hard part of a deadlift.
there's just you and correct me if I'm off base here but not sleeping could cut into recovery? The most important aspect of weight training; whether for the athlete, bodybuilder, or average person is to better ones health and ability without injury. - Bill Pearl

But doesn't sleep restriction result in reduced insulin sensitivity and RMR?

There's also some interesting studies on RMR vs SMR for non-obese and obese people. Apparently SMR > RMR for non-obese?Last edited by muruku; 07-23-2016 at 12:00 AM.

Even 1 day of sleep deprivation decrease insulin sensitivity.
And doesnt staying awake increases your TDEE, not your RMR/metabolism? In the short term.
In the long term, the lack of sleep will decrease your NEAT and your TDEE.
