I've gotten arbok, duduo, and poliwag just while sitting at my desk. The certain pokemon in specific environments may need tuning. That said the coast is 20 minutes away. I'm going tomorrow.

^this. and i go to World Gym and that gym has a pokemon gym that has been claimed by someone in team Red. i chose team red too thinking i will not want to fight against someone in my own gym but later i realized they could be taken down and i know that i will surpass these people and will want to claim my own gym. lol. so choose ur color carefully

For sure.. what you caught at your desk seems a bit much. Maybe a slowpoke would be ok though gnomesayin.. although those tends to hang around by rivers if I remember from the pokemon games on n64.

Does it at least show you who controls the gym? There should be a window of xx amount of hours that nobody can take your gym away or something.

Yup, if you click on the gym it shows you the avatar and name for the person controlling the gym. This is the guy controlling the gym down the road from my job for example:

Had to put my poverty exeggecute to hold the gym after I took it. Red *******s have all 3 of the gyms around me with the best being a 450 CP pidgeot. Going to retake that chit tomorrow now that I know what I'm doing.

Anyone know how to heal pokemon? Is it just over time or do I have to do anything?
