I miss GS. Still to this day I don't know if he was an actual user or some semi-sentient bot.

Lenco at 35-41 years of age -- "Fuk the heat! SFW!"
Lenco at 42-present -- "Fuk this heat. I'm going inside."
Got to where I couldn't fight through it anymore.
Wife wanted to go by the 24 Hr Fitness near the house.
Lenco Jr.: "What are we doing here?"
Lenco: "Mom wants to join the gym."
Lenco Jr.: "Are we gonna join, too?"
Lenco: "Hell no, mufuka! We already got out gym!"
(Walks into the AC and sees the weights)
Lenco: "Yeah, um, I'd like to join the gym please."
Eight years of working out at home, and now I'm sitting in a parking lot drinking a PreWO shake.
Kinda fuk yea, kinda fml. Here Lies the Rant

He's a good guy. We stayed in contact for a while via email after he stopped posting here until I got slack and probably forgot to reply. Not a fan of typing more than a short text on a phone so with limited free time unless I'm checking email on my computer there's a good chance it'll be marked as read from my phone and I'll forget to reply later. Would be great if he returned.

lol yeah i thought about doing the home gym in my garage like many. I knew that wouldn't work. Put it in the "formal dining room" of the house. One of the warmer rooms in the house (farther room from the a/c and it isn't a great central air system). Bought a window a/c unit and a shop fan and I'm good to go in there now.
^ Yep. Past a certain temperature, it is just like putting a blow dryer in your face.
I miss D1. I when some old thread will be necroed and one of his posts are in there.

manly, are you guys potty training already?
I'm not home (thankfully) but my boy started potty training today and apparently the wife decided he would just run around all day without any pants/diapers on, buck nekkid from the waist down. He's like a small animal, running around peeing on things randomly.

From Google: Healthy children aren't physically and emotionally ready to start using a potty until they are between 18 months and three years old. Boys tend to be ready a few months later than girls. Most parents start the training when their children are between two years and three years old.
Just my 2 cents, which you didn't ask for but I'll say it anyway, I think many parents are driven by ego when it comes to pushing for certain milestones. I see it all the time. They're either bragging about what their kid could do by a certain age or are flat out embarrassed by what they can't do yet. All I can think is what's the rush?
I know a guy who is a GM today who claims he hardly said a word until he was 5 years old. I'm sure there are plenty of adults out there who hit all their milestones early but are now flipping burgers.

Agreed. I think part of this is the desire to not have to change diapers though too, which I totally understand, from both a time and cost perspective. But I guess he's within the potential timeframe to start potty training and if we end up saving all that money on diapers then might as well let her give it her best shot... while I'm up here and don't have to worry about him running up and peeing on me lol.

If your wife is looking after two by herself I can understand why she'd want your son to be saving her time. I guess she has to trust her instincts. Hopefully it works out.
For me in the same position having to deal with those accidents in the early stages would have been worse than the alternative. Fighting, climbing, jumping off tables, demanding something every 5 minutes... it was hard enough making sure they kept all their teeth and didn't break anything without having to worry about cleaning that up.
Wife wanted to push for it around 2 mainly because she cares what other people think ("X's kids are already toilet trained, it's embarrassing," rinse, repeat) but I preferred to wait until they were closer to 3. Sure the cost adds up and if changing diapers was an Olympic sport I'd easily win gold for Croydon but I'm comfortable with that decision.

Ours isn't talking yet either but he understands basically everything we say. "Go get your bottle" he climbs upstairs and finds his bottle in his room. "Point at the (noun)" he'll point at it. I think his vocabulary is doing fine and the fact he isn't really talking other than baby talk, even full sentences of baby talk, isn't cause for alarm. I'm sure your little guy is doin fine too man.
