Yea how dumb can people be. Just wear a mask and for the love of God don't assault people for calling you out. Not the greatest look for NJ
They are not, and it is awful. Doing pushups just ain't the same thing and I got no where to try to do pull ups so I am just trying to find a way to get the same lifting feeling back

That’s brutal. They’re open here, but I’m at the point where I won’t be going back. Pretty sure the gym model won’t survive this. There are days when I want to go, but it’s just not worth dealing with the masks and the social distancing when I can just hit it hard in the garage.

100%. Like I told Dom once we get done with construction I am dropping 10k for a home gym. I think that's more than enough for flooring, rack, 12 45lbs, 2 35lbs, 2 25lbs, 4 10lbs, 2 5lbs, 2 2.5lbs plates, weight rack, barbell, weight storage rack, cable and lat pull down attachments for rack, dumbell pairs and rack from 15lbs to 120lbs, GHR machine, and elliptical. Lol or at least I hope so.
I'd also love to get a prowler/sled, leg curl attachment, and one of those farmers walk barbells. Imho farmers walks are one of the top tier exercises
Edit: I figure a breakdown:
$500 for flooring
$2.5k for rack + attachments
$2k for weight plates and dumbbells
$500 for barbells and racks
$2k for GHR
$2K for cardioLast edited by im2manly; 08-01-2020 at 09:22 PM.

Hopefully restrictions there ease soon. We're going backwards. Australia's 2nd largest city has gone into "stage 4" lockdown for the next 6 weeks.
- A curfew – from 8pm to 5am – starting tonight. The only reasons to leave home during these hours will be work, medical care and caregiving.
- The Night Network will be suspended, and public transport services will be reduced during curfew hours.
- Exercise will be limited to a maximum of one hour per day and no more than five kilometres from your home. Group size will be limited to a maximum of two – you and one other person – whether you live with them or not.
- Shopping will be limited to one person per household per day. Again, the five-kilometre rule will apply.
- Study at university must be done remotely.
- Weddings will be banned – unless on compassionate reasons.
- Face coverings will continue to be compulsory.
- All Victorian students across all year levels will return to at-home learning.
- Non-essential businesses will be forced to close.

As someone who's had a home gym for many years, I highly recommend it even in non-Covid times. So much easier to just hop down to the basement and crank out some sets. No excuse that it's "too far to drive".
The stuff I recommend most is a rack of course (with pullup bar and lat tower attachment for high and low rows), barbells and full set of weight plates, incline - decline bench, Ironmaster or similar DB's, and then your choice of something extra for legs. I picked up a Parabody leg press / hack squat / calf press as well as a seated calf press on the used market for very reasonable prices. I'm sure it's harder to buy stuff used now, but over the long term it's a good way to go. People spend big $$ on nice stuff then don't use it and just want it gone.
Ironically, I recently moved states so most of my stuff was either sold or is now in storage.☠ By reading this post, you have agreed to my negative reputation terms of service.

Lol speaking of resistance bands I just recieved this silver one which is supposed to be 200lbs:
https://www.roguefitness.com/rogue-e...sistance-bands
I tried to maneuver the band to squat such that I had my feet on one end and the other end on my shoulders. Lol I was way too tall to do it I think. Way harder than I imagined and almost killed my self doing it. I am going to try again on Sunday with shoes tho
Edit: I started in a squat position so a bit rough on the knee and basically had to shoulder press the one end while in a full squatLast edited by im2manly; 08-08-2020 at 06:51 PM.

Right there with ya. Mornings are my only times to get any training in now, and most of that lately has been mobility work.
Tried getting into morning lifting a couple weeks back, everything went fine since it was pretty light and form-focused. Cooled off, stretched, took a shower afterward, tried getting dressed, threw out my back putting shorts on. feltbadmanthe crew that poop poop poops crews crew
