I don't think I have a problem with how it's set up.
It's funny the text on militias put in perspective the dynamic between the populace, the state militaries, the federal military, and foreign ones and how each (of the domestic ones) are designed to prevent breach from either one in particular. eg: the fed would never be big enough to take down the states and militias together, and a single state under siege from like other states would have the militias and union support.
With our voting system it's more like a vote with the representational body in form of state governments.Last edited by GeneralSerpant; 10-22-2020 at 05:38 AM.

How many of you old farts remember the 2000 election?
Al Gore won the popular vote and it all came down to Florida where W's brother Jeb was governor. Gore demanded a recount where every "hanging chad" and "dimpled chad" punched on those poverty voting machines was scrutinized. Supreme Court got involved and it dragged on for a month until the ruling on the recount where Gore conceded. 271-266.

Definitely shades of 2000. If this does get dragged out then some people should be made aware it's not the first time and Gore the climate change crusader kept Dubya waiting nearly 40 days before conceding. That was ugly.
At times like this their system looks flawed but ours is far from perfect. Canada is closer to getting it right. Over here they can still do the ol' bait and switch where someone wins the election and not even a year into a term there's a leadership spill with a challenge inside the party and suddenly someone else is running the country. It's happened four times here since 2010 and makes us look like bums. So I won't judge.

Red, we'll see what the count is after the courts throw out all the needed manufactured ballots produced in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Milwaukee, Atlanta among of things.

Crazy how the right is fine with the results of the senate and house, but not the presidency. On the same ballot...…..
Cause it makes total sense to rig the part of the election that doesn't matter. If the last 4 years have shown anything, it's that 100% of the power to get anything done involves the senate. Strong copeI don't know either lol

Because real politics is supposed to be boring and people shouldn't care. Treaties and trade tariffs and whether the fed should adjust inflation because of inverse bond yield blah blah blah.....
But at some point basic human rights became "political", along with stupid **** like what holiday greeting Starbucks is putting on their cups. This is why we can't have nice things.I don't know either lol

Well I think he's pretty pin point on that. This whole thing started with politicians and commercial markets catering to progressive interests when social media became a huge prospect. The order for that came from undergrads who were making pipe bombs of accountability online. National corporations couldn't be seen stepping on any culture's feet and also took to a lot of inclusive marketing.

Not as much as four years hearing about "Russian collusion" that proved nothing besides being funded by the trusty clinton foundation.
Based on what we know from the roots of the radical mob, there's likely a strong case. But the 100s of witnesses aren't going to reveal evidence to the media for us to speculate on and put them at risk of harm, that goes to the judges.
Agreed 100%.DR. 3time

I recognize a lot of smarter leftists that are skeptical of commercial progressivism. I think I understand it's regarded as hollow or exploitative, but I think you should expect a certain level of that as a general facet of society in which markets follow after.
Anyways, I was more getting at the radical right in terms of gamergaters, 4chan I guess, and the overall rise of antiestablishmentarianism mostly spearheaded by Trump's birther movement. A lot of people to the likes of that and mainly business conservatives really felt a good deal of unethical commercial schilling for essentially political persuasion. I'm fairly certain that Bernie Sanders mainly became more popular after Trump, but that might have just been a natural course following social media proliferation as I was talking about.
Really I think the PC part has been pretty suitably tied down, even if mainly by the right mainly adopting it as a strategic rebuttal to the awareness of systemic racism factors. There's no rule that says the dog can't play.

The rise of Bernie from my viewpoint has been one in which millions of people have been fed up with conservative myths about economics and how decades of shoving MORE money into the hands of rich people has yet to "trickle down". Top that off with outrageous cost of living increases compared to wage stagnation and it's pretty clear. When you have people with multiple degrees working a third job as an Uber driver while sharing a 4 bedroom house with 5 other people it becomes pretty hard to support the current method of capitalism.
I don't know either lol

Trickle down though was always more of a party favor thrown in when all people are there for is competitive prices and more consumer choices. It's just about less government overall, which is pretty mainstay either way.

1. Replacing an old fart with another old fart won't achieve much in 4 years no matter how inspiring the speeches are.
2. Wealthy celebrities living in gated communities completely detached from reality need to stop preaching already. Take NBA commissioner LeBron James who's happy to use his platform to take aim at low hanging fruit like Donnie T but his silence is deafening on China.
