Pete Mitchell's pretty interesting because he's somewhat under spoken as a Tom Cruise character, but makes up for it with his actions.

How low IQ do you have to be to think this January 6th BS was a "coup"? If it were some actual coup there would have been coordinated attacks everywhere, key sites controlled, hostages, etc.

Not a bunch of goofs taking selfies for their ******** page.

We have to stop calling them cowards. What they did took a lot of planning and guts and has changed the way we view things.

I would comment but I don't want to be thrown in the slammer. I think most people know what's going on and why the need for timely influence on their part, so not much is needed to be said for the time being.

Congratulations. That's longer than most people posting on these forums have been alive. Which reminds me in another 3 years it'll be two decades of us posting here.

I'm not against the technology given manufacturers don't have much choice when chauffeur driven politicians keep mandating unrealistic emissions targets, but I wish they'd quit bullsh*tting people about "going green" which they're currently paying a premium for at the dealer and will take several years under ideal conditions to pay for itself. More importantly your typical Tesla loving EV nuthugger has no idea how much earthmoving (powered by fossil fuel) is required to mine just one car battery which eventually becomes toxic landfill.

I drive a car with a 5 cylinder engine. I get around 500 miles to a tank driving it sedately, it sounds like half a V10, and goes like the clappers. It sickens me that in a few years it will be replaced by something completely soulless and sterile to please politicians and brainwashed fools.

What's the alternative? We created something based on finite resources and expect it to be infinite.

I think EVs are considerately cheaper as far as fuel and energy economy goes for the consumer. Toxic landfill is an observable tradeoff with its own host of problems and but it's not really an apples to apples comparison. There's not really a free lunch yet for something as profound as personal automotive transportation.

As far as going after the legacy of fuel injector era cars, it doesn't seem like the biggest incursion of tradeoff considering overall systems of cars now in days aside from the fuel/energy mechanism are going the way of smart devices.

    Considerably cheaper at what point?

    1. You're paying more for them right out of the gate. Here's the same Mitsubishi sold here in both petrol and hybrid versions. That's another $17K up front. I realize there are tax credits for EV buyers to help offset this but it's still costing you more. How long will it take to break even (before that depreciation kicks in)?

    2. EVs rapidly depreciate. Factor this into "considerably cheaper."

    3. They are utterly soulless unless you get turned on by tire and wind noise. There's more to the experience of driving a car than rapid 0-60 times (between battery cooling down cycles) which of course can be crippled by software updates at any time in the interests of safety and battery management. They've done it before. Wait until we're all in.

    4. The amount of control you're giving up over the car is frightening. Elon Musk doesn't want you driving the car at all.

No I think it tapered from the first really until now.

Yeah the EV is a premium, so if you're expecting to spend the same money then you should expect to go for an inferior brand/model. It's important to set your guidelines and adjust accordingly to suit your circumstances.

Tesla's do fine. Otherwise the technology is just too rapid at this point.

Partially agree, if you include the 2nd half of season 2. Most of the other seasons success can be attributed by an actor/actress that came in and carried the show with their brilliance. Thomas Ian Griffith, Peyton List etc.. S5 didn't quite have that, but probably could have if Sean Kanan was more involved.

Looks like #1 now on Netflix is Dahmer. Wait till you see what happened here.

I'm not sure what you meant earlier when you said season 5 sucks, but what's going on with Terry Silver is much more interesting in season 5 than it is 4. I'm still on the finale, though I thought every episode up to that was tip top. The same goes for Chosen who finds himself all over the season.

Isn't it oh so ironic that between the mechanisms of combustive fuel and electric charge, that the former is the more ample fuel source in cars while it is the latter in humans.

    Spoiler!
