I guess that's the logic of many of those who carry. Never thought about it since I don't carry myself.
The funny thing is that I was behind the guy in line and then passed by him on my way to get a drink, but I never even noticed. My oldest son was the one that brought it to my attention.
"Dad, did you see that guy's gun?"
"Lol wut?"Here Lies the Rant

I am all for people open carrying, but personally I don't think I'd open carry.
I don't think I'd be concerned about people grabbing it, as I'd have a holster with some type of thumb lever to prevent it, but I'm sure there would be some idiots who would touch it.
Then you have idiots like this:
Pop in once a week and you'd see the trends.-

Same, IDGAF what others do, not my bag. I'll post this on here, to keep it moving a bit: yesterday afternoon, my wife ran outside to pull her truck into the garage and took our daughter with her. This door to door salesman just walked into the garage and tried to roll the sales pitch on her. She kind of freaked out and told him to leave, and leave now. She told me the guy really creeped her out. So about an hour later, the guy knocks on the door. She didn't answer. When she went out to move the truck, she left her gun in the safe... Because what could happen in the driveway?

- Squat rack (with pull up bar and push up bar)
- Standard bar (6')
- Standard plates
- Adjustable bench
- EZ Curl Bar
- NordicTrack FreeStrider (cardio)
- Multiststion Home Gym with
1) Pec Deck
2) Lat Pull down
3) Military Press
4) Leg Press (90 degree, not that great)
5) Leg Extension/Standing Leg Curl
6) Seated Cable Rows
And that's pretty much all rn

Yeah, I've never thought I needed to carry right outside of the house, but I have seen / heard of things happening right there. Like this video:
All that being said, I know situations like that are exceedingly rare, especially in say my neighborhood, so I'm not real concerned.
I don't think a 5 minute lapse is considered a thread kill. More like 5 hours.-

Same here, we live in a nice neighborhood, but who knows what people are thinking these days. Ultimately, the guy was probably trying to get out of the heat for a minute and she overreacted a bit. There have been a few home invasions in this area targeting women home alone, so good on her for getting loud. My son was home, so there was that.

There was an incident similar to this fairly recently. A guy was carrying concealed in wal- mart and exiting the store. Some how he either printed or accidentally flashed his fire arm. Some jackass noticed it, attached him yelled gun and several other people jumped in, disarmed him and held him down until police arrived. Needless to say the attacker was arrested for assault and the law abiding carry conceal guy was not charged with anything. I'm not sure if he pressed charges or not, I know I sure as hell would have.

Forgive me for not reading more than a couple paragraphs of that retarded drivel. So there is a baseball game where people will be carrying openly? I don't see the need to have a game specifically for that, maybe just change or advertise that policy is to allow people who are lawfully armed to attend...maybe they will get more spectators this way instead of empty stands lol
Florida does not permit open carry (short version) so I wouldn't expect you to have much experience of any kind with it.
People who post things like that are virtually always full of **** considering that it basically never happens. I'd love to see "Jennifer" try to "hold me there" simply by using pepper spray. Would love even more to sign the criminal complaint when they are charged with assault/battery. That is if they aren't so stupid as to actually try to go hands on/disarm the carrier and risk being sliced/stabbed/beaten/shot.
I open carry from time to time. Not often, single digits of times per year, just enough to every once in awhile remind people that, hey, regular folks can and do carry guns and there's nothing wrong with it. Level III retention holster usually, Safariland ALS at the absolute minimum.

I don't think the game is specifically being held for it. Minor league baseball games often times have themes or "events" to coincide. At the Lakeland Flying Tigers (Detroit Tigers Single A Affiliate) had a "Bark at the park" night, where people are allowed to bring their dogs to the game and they had various pet organizations have stands. Give out treats, information, etc.
This one is for open carry. People are encouraged to open carry and they have booths set up with people teaching and giving out information, etc.

Oh I get that it's just a theme added to game, it just seemed like a stretch to get attendance...then again as you say that's not an unusual thing, to have a theme to try and get people for it that otherwise wouldnt' give two ****s about watching amateur baseball
Be cautious even with a retention holster. The ALS is only one level you have to depress (police uniform duty holsters almost always have two 'things' to release the pistol) and there are a lot of experienced or savvy criminals who know how to bypass those holsters. They even practice/train how to do it in prison with the help of their more experienced brethren. The retention holster's goal is to buy you time to react, though even that can be bypassed if the first thing you know is a brick hits you in the back of the head. Fortunately people who open carry are generally very aware and also MOST criminals don't choose known-armed people to attack when given a choice since getting shot interferes with success...even if they have been shot before and aren't afraid of getting shot or killed...it still interferes with success lol

Aside: Amazon prime has totally spoiled me and given me unrealistic expectations with other online purchases. As I stated the other day, I ordered a holster to conceal carry my pistol. They apparently make each holster per order (not mass produced ahead of time). I checked my email to see when I'd get it and it is like, "Please allow 7-10 days for us to make the holster and ship it to you. You'll receive a 2nd email with a tracking number when it ships."
I'm over here like, WTF? Why can't I get it in 2 days from the day I order it like everything else?!?-

We have a ridiculous number of Amazon orders. If they carry it and it's Prime eligible, we probably buy it 'there'. And those subscribe and saves...geez.
Holster waits...I have some that are a month in and haven't probably started being made yet. Fortunately I already have holsters for each of those pistols so I can afford the wait to get awesome

Let's see how it plays out. If the rant is drowning in fapball posts I think we need to consider banning Orlando. (Not srs) (mostly srs)

I only recently got on prime. Before if I needed something, I used to cash (using the square cash app) my buddy money and have him use his prime account to order it for me.
Then discovered that my gf has a prime account and then realized that she can list it so that we're in the same household together. So now I have full prime access. Not to mention I am a member on snagshout (one of those services where you can get discounted items as long as you agree to right a review on it). So there are times, every two days there are multiple items coming in. I bet my post man hates me.
LTFOL!
I vote to include more photog posts. I wasn't upset when you would post your weekend hiking pictures. I know Oregon or Washington or whatever part of Canada you're in doesn't have as nice of scenery as Alaska, but I'm sure it still has some decent stuff. And I know Dom has some awesome images on his site as well, so he apparently has some scenery that isn't just barren wasteland with radioactive scorpions, dingos, and spiders.-
