The day is already dragging. Couldn't sleep initially. Running on about 3.5 hours of sleep while also waking up a few times during that sleep. My alarm went off at 5:15 (normal) and it took me forever to figure out what was going on. It took awhile before I figured out the noise was, in fact, coming from my phone. Then it took about double that time to figure out how to get it to stop.

It sucks. One win away and he left for that team. We were on the road all day yesterday getting our son to school and heard the news in the car. We were pretty upset....not burning stuff upset, mind you. I bitched and ranted for a few minutes while the wife rationalized. It sucks. I figured he might leave, but not this year. They were so close. Had he gone to Boston, I would have understood. But ring chasing at 27 with a very, very good/great team already built around you? Garbage. Now, if Russ shows the inclination that he's leaving too, they're gonna trade him and get what they can get.

Is a pain in the tuchus. I was so tempted to call in sick today. Then realized that it might not be a great idea, because one member of the team was already taking the day off, not to mention that I'm on-call this week. I just want sleep. More than what I've had up to this point.

lol I can imagine. I had a few drinks yesterday. GFs parents and my mother came over, I grilled some burgers and we cooked some carpese salad stuffed chicken breasts. Everyone left by 8 and then I worked out. Also, got to listen to fireworks being set off until midnight or so. I didn't want to complain about them, since it was 4th of July after all, but my gf kept bitching about it. I said she reminded me of some senior citizen complaining about kids being noisy after dark.
What was that place like?-

It was unfuking believable. Paradise. Awesome bar. Gorgeous girls in thongs everywhere. Drinks in the ocean/on the beach. You can chill in the tents or tables in the ocean, or you can have your drinks brought to you while on the tubes. Live music. The place is fuking huge. Also, the girls. JFC the girls. I have never in my life been surrounded by so many women that are dtf. I respect my wife way to much to ever do something, but talk about an ego boost. God damn.
Edit: also place was packed, but since it is so big and has so many bars, there is no issue getting drinks

Agree completely. Jumping ship for the team he lost to is weak.
After coming so close to beating them and being responsible for the loss you'd think he'd be even more determined to get revenge. I said it before but the Spurs did it. They didn't even sign anyone to get it done either. They all took accountability for the loss and a year later got their chance against the same team and won. No reason OKC couldn't have done the same. Now that's not going to happen.

I understand his decision. Many people say it doesn't matter how great you were in a league, everyone ultimately wants that ring. Think about how many greats in sports you say you wanted to see win a ring and perhaps that could have happened if they had decided to change teams?
