Do they still make vanilla Coke zero? I haven't seen that in forever. Diet Vanilla coke was one of the diets that I used to make the switch. Diet vanilla coke, diet Barq's root beer, and Diet Dr. Pepper were the three I used that were sweet enough and/or tasted faintly like the real thing to not make me despise drinking the diet variation.

Now, all I drink is diets and totally used to the flavor, but it definitely took some effort.

Sleep seems more crucial as I've gotten older. I also tend to drink at the tail end of the night again, so that might have a bit to do with it. I just get to the gym after my coffee crash and show up to the gym kidna numb and ready to go.

Went to the butcher today to get a couple pounds of pork shoulder. They cut it up and priced it at pork belly which is .50 less per pound. Respect. Treat your community deservingly and you will reap the prosperity in return. A lot of kids these days can't see the very roots cultivating at their feet. Riding around in their fast cars with that awful noise that's put out today. It's no wonder how downhill things have gone.

How long do you think you're going to cook?

I've been wanting to make al pastor, but it's a pretty involved process. I might have been able to marinate it if I got all the ingredients. The way I want to cook it is basic slow roast though and pastor involves harvesting the edge of the kinda roast as it sears. I would have had no problem slicing it into thin stretches or anything before cooking. I don't think it gets to 190 when you do it that way either.

So I'm just gonna cook it like a brisket and make sliced bbq sandwiches.

I think biceps assisting chin-ups thing is making a good amount of sense right now. Overhead biceps curls don't put you in the position to move the most weight. It stretches out the external rotator cuff and the biceps don't anchor to it enough to pull the forearm in stronger. Still probably gives you like 10-15% weight handicap though. Like when your spotting a bench press, it doesn't take that much force to assist the bar up a lot of the time. During the chin-up if you do the thing where you learn your torso back it kinda gives room for the rotator cuff to flex a little.

Keto has worked great but I'm off it now. Desperately need to bulk back up, but got the waist back in shape.

Also 30-35 minutes OHP in the squat rack is good way to make friends at the gym.

Thought they were LED or 4300k halogen. Been 7 years since I bought the car. I guess the fact they lasted this long should have been a giveaway. I now remember xenon being mentioned.

Not uncommon I've noticed people just run their brights when one headlight is out. Pretty annoying for me and the other drivers, but might be a gamble worth it. Come to think of it though, fix-it tickets don't end up with a net cost or anything in California. Save for court-house time of course, but so is stressing out about evening driving. What's the deal there?

I have bright LEDs for my brake lights for suspectable reasons. But apparently you need some sort of breaker that doesn't trip the light-replacement light on the dash console. Gotta attach it to the frame of the car apparently lol, the indicator light's been on for a good while.

The majority are good guys doing the job for the right reasons but you get a few duds.

Not that long before I quit fast food I went and got some Subway from a joint that opens late. As I'm about to drive off I see the party lights behind me. Gave them my license and the conversation went like this...

Minus being pulled over of course, the sobriety check / suspicion test got to me less over the years. It seems pretty innate for them to interject oddly trivial measures to the conversation.

Like I was smoking a cigarette around 1 am after seeing Planet of the Apes remake inside an empty car garage and it was a one-two punch of what was going on, and if I saw the original. Felt pretty hospitable to be honest, and I'm probably thinking into it too much right now.

Another time there was an accident outside the side of my house. I walked out and inquired to the on scene and was pretty bluntly asked how I knew about the events of the situation that I gathered outside my window. Again, seemed trivial.

I can appreciate they've got a job to do and I'm always fully compliant but there's no question it feels like an invasion of your personal space. I just assume they're bored and try not to let it bother me.

Registration and license would show a clean record so at that point they should just kindly fuk off. By all means act if someone is behaving erratically, you've been reported for doing something suspicious, etc., but otherwise you should be free to sit in your car and listen to music or scratch your nuts thinking about the meaning of life.

A couple of cops put on the party lights a few years ago while I quietly sipped a Gatorade the car before the gym. One was a normal dude. Ran an alcohol breath test and checked my license. The other guy was power tripping hard. It's a bit unsettling when you're minding your own business doing nothing wrong and suddenly you're made to feel like a criminal. I treat everyone with respect whether they're LE or bagging my groceries so I don't care for power trips. Without the badge the one with the attitude wouldn't even so much as fart in my direction but in uniform he could act like a tough guy with impunity.

Even after I walked to the gym they did another lap and drove past really slowly stalking me to confirm I was actually going into the gym. It wasn't even a dodgy part of town. Anyway there's nothing you can do but let them live out their tough guy fantasy.
