What is the point of performing 3 reps with dumbbells? 3x8 makes more sense if your goal is to build muscle.

Hardest part is progressive overload. I LOVE high volume training but find it best for about 4-6 weeks due to the unsustainability of adding weight every week

I love it too but as you said it's not sustainable. I use it in short waves.

I remember trying 10x3 routine I read about at T nation back in like 2007. Getting the db’s in and out of position was more work than the exercise itself. Not a fan at all

I think higher sets is more compatible in a routine more set up for periodization. Otherwise it's not going to last for a very long time after the stall. But I wouldn't exactly call it a waste of time either whenever I've done it in bodybuilding type fashion. For barbell OHP and/or flat/incline db it was the most steady work I found myself doing.

Are they going to cancel this fraud on MSNBC for spreading misinformation?

The issue of misinformation isn't limited to inaccuracy though.

Her address there isn't really different from saying that seatbelts will prevent your car from damaging another person's vehicle. I mean granted that would be a really stupid statement obviously, and I can't really condone the overlooked shortcoming in her own statement (concerning the viral nature of the virus in spite of vaccines -- and yeah we should know the statistics on vaccine contingencies). It doesn't really change the fact though that the vaccine still protects the individual by all statistical accounts, which has been the principal efficacy of the vaccine since after March when Maddow made that statement. Telling people not to wear seatbelts would be considerably more egregious.

Got Omicron. Couple of days of fatigue and a scratchy throat, tested positive, and laid low for the rest of the week. Back training two weeks ago and hitting PRs. Will enjoy that natty immunity for the next 6-8 months while the experts debate how many boosters they'll need.

I don't like the word in any context but as he points out only one racial group can use that word and many use it freely, often as a term of endearment so in the past rather than censor himself he chose to say the word when quoting people. Interesting timing that this is coming out now. He might as well be running for president.

I think it's more of a christian orthodoxy more than the catholic variety. It's subjectively disparaging, and the effects of it tend not to be transcended by context fully. That and there's no actual structure of policy concerning it (ie principled catholic embodiment surround it as a curse). And it seems distinct in standard between ethnicities.

There is a similar dilemma with homosexuality in the US military where it was institutionally barred. In the Clinton era, it was mitigated with a don't ask don't tell agenda that kind of sound-cancellations the standing issue, but do the issues disappear when no homosexuality is exhibited, or when black people don't hear it in its intended context? Like I'm not 100% on this, but I thought I remember hearing that the military still proved a physically hostile environment.

I wasn't wanting to echo formal social power dynamics (though King did embrace a lot of that), but given all that I think the point comes across better. The main difference between the two scenarios is that the military institution acknowledged it, while I'm not really sure how that is to manifest itself on the other front.

Stopping the spread is the more short-term approach, while saving lives is the omega factor. We're obviously coming to find that the former is only done through proper mask wearing and highly sensible lockdown features, which agreeably tend not to exist between this society and that. But that's all to the wind. I was literally between squat sets in the cage when someone with their mask down came INTO it and carried out an engaging 30 second conversation in order to ask me if he could take a weight from its tree, followed by him asking if he could take the respective weight on the left side as well. People are fuking stupid.

There's also the issues of hospitals being heavily burdened, and that tends to be mostly an issue with unvaccinated people. It's not just a matter of taking care of one's own self or even necessarily that one will die, but it is to the point that even testing is being carried out outside of hospitals in its own right.
