If Mayweather's style was based on 'abusing the rules' and it works then why aren't other boxers emulating his style?
It's because they can't. They can't match his technical prowess and tactical insight. Truth is, people look for reasons to hate his boxing because they dislike him as a person for flaunting with his status/money. He's a genius in the ring and most of the people denying it are the boxing fans that boxers don't like - the ones that only watch boxing to see injuries and knockouts.Less thunder in mouth, more lightning in hand.

stfu with Tyson. No one who knows **** about boxing even has him in their top 40 he beat bums and was inconsistent. Had he stopped doing drugs and kept his focus, no doubt he'd be top 5. But the world doesn't revolve around "what if".
Based on what Tyson DID accomplish, not "Could"...he ranks behind a large amount of boxers

I personally prefer Leonard, Louis, Ali, but no hate for Floyd's skills. The guy's timing and instincts are absolutely amazing. There is something to be said of taking risks as a fighter, and it doesn't seem like there were many taken in Floyd's career. Leonard fought Duran and Hearns multiple times, and went up in weight to fight Marvelous Marvin. I probably don't know enough to give you an amazing debate, but this is just my observation. Would've been nice to see Floyd and Pac fight closer to their primes.A more aggressive Pac might not beat Mayweather, but the reckless pressure might have troubled him more than the Pacquiao who tried to walk him down and outbox him. Mayweather just destroyed him with his lateral movement and timing.

lol, at your age, you have never even witness real boxing, you have never seen any of the legends fight.. How can you make such an ignorant claim. It is better to die on your feet, than to live a lifetime on your knees
a coward dies a thousand deaths, a soldier dies but one.

lets not pretend like he didnt dodge champs that wanted to fight him. always waited till they were years past their prime. and since he runs away 24/7 when he is getting hit or hugs every 10 secs, joke to say he is the best.
edit
he is the best at buying hermes handbags though.Last edited by AWillis; 06-06-2016 at 04:29 PM.

I'll just leave this here...
Jones Jr was outstanding, he just retired too late. Then came out of retirement again because he's a spastic.
Unbelieveable boxer though.
By the way, a prime George Foreman would've left Tyson twitching in a puddle of his own shit within three rounds. He should've beaten Ali but Ali out thought him. Tyson wasn't anywhere near that clever and you could not go head on at Foreman and walk away.*Always Pick 2 Crew*

Being a good boxer =/= being a good fighter.
Mayweather is a pu$$y and would get destroyed by a real fighter. He is a woman-beater and you know just how much of a pussy is based on how many security guards surround him.
Unfortunately, the way boxing is designed the most powerful and most aggressive/effective fighters do not win, the most careful fighters always win.
