    does Whey Protein cause acne?

    I started to have these multiple small bumps in my face, small, non-tender acne in the right side of my face after 3 months of taking whey protein. I wonder it only appeared after the 3rd month? So maybe it's not related?

    SO now im kinda scared if I will get more if I take whey. So do you think is it related to whey? Or maybe i wasn't just washing my face enough? haha

    any advice is appreciated thanks...

    To my knowledge, whey protein is only convenient food supplement to hit macros, so it shouldn't be the culprit to your acne, even if it was, I assume it should've happened in the 1st month.

    Could be various reasons. Lifting raises test --> acne. Also, dairy is the main culprit in a lot of people with acne. Whey being dairy, it's very possible. Try a skin product with benzoyl peroxide, or cut out dairy

    If I had to guess it's probably not the whey that's causing it. It could be so many other things or a combination of it being summer and sweating more. it may be the whey but i think the percentage of it being that is lower than other factors.

    seems to have started when i jumped from 2 to 3 scoops a day. also aside from that, drinked milk! imma try avoid milk/creamers, and go back to 2 scoops. let me see what happens after 1 week...

    Whey Protein shouldn't cause acne, as it is just a dietary supplement as someone else said. Ive been using it for some time and the only cause of acne for me is due to the increased testosterone levels due to lifting. If you are new to lifting, then this might be the case if you are just starting to notice it. Or perhaps if you are eating a lot to bulk, something else within your diet may be causing it

    I usually get acne on my shoulders and back when bulking up and lifting heavy. Im cutting now and I don't get it as much now if at all.
