    Lumberjacked

Ive been hurt for a while and for a few months did light calisthenics to get back into the swing of things. Im ready to start lifting heavy again and get huge and jacked. But I also am playing rugby this fall for fun and to get the hang of it and see if I want to do it seriously (which I most likely will). I will be following grouchyjarheads great power building program.http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...hp?t=169993933 with a few modification. I work out at home for now, so ill be replacing bench with floor press, back squat with front squat, and lat pull downs with even more chins. Plus for deadlift/front squat im doing 3x3 due to the fact I need to condition and do sprints. Plus in a few months im starting ironworking to make some real freaking money and support myself and start a family. SO recovery will be paramount. I will be eating like a horse and want to gain as much lean mass as I can (225 is my goal weight, im 195 right now). I also do 40-60 minutes of fasted walking every morning. It has helped me lose fat and even if doing it unfasted will have the same result I really dont care, I like how it feels and it has helped me psychologically. I do need to figure out a way to condition though, im thinking Longer intervel runs of Jog/Sprint (not full out). Probabaly gonna start with Jog/sprint/Walk since im cardio challenged. Im also doing all my lifts with my thick barbell.

I was supposed to start the workout monday, but I started today since wednesday I wont be able to work out at all so this week itll be Saturaday/Monday/Friday and after this ill do the M/W/F set up.

5-21-16 (Choose light weights on purpose to build up and not stall soon)

    Floor Press, 135x 6,6,6,11
    Row 115x6,6,6,12
Front Squat 115x3,3,3 (I need to clean the bar to do this exercise)
    Chin Ups: 5,5
    Eagle spread situps: 25 lbs x 10,10,10

Felt good, havent been under the bar in a while. The thick bar is new but fun to use.

Why I named this thread lumberjacked? I tend to wear flannel or more rugged clothing and for a while had a thick beard and am hairy and brawny as hell. My girlfriend jokes how im a lumberjack. But I want to be the biggest baddest lumberjack to walk these damn woods so "Lumberjacked" is my new goal body. Strong as an ox, big and thick, lean but not too lean and athletic as ****

Cleans are going to be tough with a thick bar eventually. If you have a lifting belt it might be worth learning the continental clean to get your FSQ weights up to the rack.

He's resting the thick bar on his belly because you're not allowed to rest it on your belt in strongman competitions.

If you're training at home though, resting it on your belt before finishing the clean is way easier.

That looks helpful!i plan on buying a rack when I move into my place in 3 months. I might just build myself squat stands for now, I built my own floor press safeties after all. They may look white trash as hell but they get the job done.
