New York has one stacked lineup. This includes other categories too but since we mainly discuss mens open bodybuilding in this section, let me post the competitor list:
As far as my research goes, there will be 18 people competing
**To this list, also add Dexter Jackson, rising star Nathan De Asha and Victor Martinez.

Dexter said is he is competing, has been posting "x weeks out of the new york pro" for his picture captions and said wait till they update the list to luimarco
side note. I was looking forward to dominic cardone's pro debut but his recent social media gives off the vibe that he's way out of shape, doing it only in memory of his mother due to some promise to her and blah blah blah. thought maybe he could crack the top 6 in his pro debut but not really anymore. expecting him coming in offMS, Computer Science

05-18-2016, 05:08 PM #10As far as my research goes
Isn't there any way to get these lineups locked down, say, a week out? Or a month out? It's like the competitor list changes every day.
Don't they realise that people need to book planes, taxis, hotels etc to see this show, and they're less likely to do that when the competitor list is full of "maybe he will, maybe he won't" crapshoots? They're leaving money on the table. We're dodging more ninjitsu attacks than Flex Wheeler. We're ducking more bullets than George Farah. We're facing more death than a kid leg pressing at Branch Warren's gym.
You can't stop us. You can't hold us back.

Oh yeah? Back in my day we didn't even know who competed, much less won, until it came out a few months later in the muscle mag. Some guys would go to the local library in the early days of the internet and try to dig it up. Or you were lucky to know a guy who knew a guy that was there or somebody wrote it on the gym chalk board. We didn't even know contests were going to happen until after they were already over.

So we have to settle for this ****? Just because it is better doesnt mean it is good.
I am going to the show on Saturday and I had to pay couple hundred dollars without truly knowing who will compete. I had to email bev francis gym etc.
When you buy certain tickets and make your travel arrangements, you want to know who will be there competing.Grainy hardcore religious slabs of thick dense muscle. So grainy that it hurts your eyes

Meanwhile, UFC fans can go online and find (basically complete) fight cards for events that are months away. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UFC_200
Yeah, sometimes stuff happens and the card changes, that's unavoidable. But I still get the impression this is way worse than it used to be. Remember the old days, when Darren would host the IFBB prediction challenge? You couldn't do that now. We're dodging more ninjitsu attacks than Flex Wheeler. We're ducking more bullets than George Farah. We're facing more death than a kid leg pressing at Branch Warren's gym.

They did put up a fine too where if they remove their name or something they get fined $100-200. I remember something like this. Dave P. is right when he says bodybuilders are the laziest people. The freaking flyer had Juan Morel for the longest time as the main guy and no Dexter, Roelly or Victor. There is still no Victor or Roelly I think lol. I had a bargain though now looking at this list.

Juan s entire family shows up and screams during judging anyway since he is a native.
People will come for Dexter and Roelly. It comes down to how unclear the entire process is when it comes to IFBB and thats what we were discussing. I wish the informtion would be out there earlier for fans.Grainy hardcore religious slabs of thick dense muscle. So grainy that it hurts your eyes
