Even though meat is delicious and Eggs are Delicious. There are lots studies that have been made to see if eating meat will cause cancer. Not saying you will get cancer from eating meat. Something like that doesn't happen right away it needs to build up over time. Some people may not even get cancer and some people aren't so lucky. We don't really see how are meat is handled now a days they are pumped full of antibiotics and other foreign substances. How is your meat getting packaged before its delivered to you? How Sanitary is the environment? I believe the WHO (world health organization) has deemed pork as a carnicogen

Here are some links to studies. Iffff you happen to give a fukkk

Dietary mutagen exposure and risk of pancreatic cancer
    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17416754

Plasma and erythrocyte biomarkers of dairy fat intake and risk of ischemic heart disease
    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17921367

Adolescent milk fat and galactose consumption and testicular germ cell cancer
    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17119045

Meat intake and bladder cancer risk in 2 prospective cohort studies
    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17093172

Consumption of dairy products and risk of Parkinson's disease
    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17272289

Eating meat and dairy and eggs and what not will put you at risk. You won't get these necessarily but you are at risk. Plenty more links and studies to prove it. Other studies will show heart disease, cardiovascular disease, colon cancer etc.

Good luck with your Vegan goals 2016 OP! Stay Safe!

Also Vegan plant protein taste like dirt and mud mixed with grass clippings. Which one did you get?

mate human digestive tract and teeth are closer to herbivores than carnivores

true carnivores have very short digestive tracts because i think the cholecytokinin from their 100% meat diet slows the peristaltic waves of intestinal contraction so they can digest it just enough and then **** it out.

we have very long digestive tracts, so the hormones we secrete in response to high fat foods (cholecytokinin) (meat and dairy) leave food in our colon for too long.

for most people, diets with regular intake of high fat (meat/dairy heavy diets) are not ideal. leads to food like meat staying in the colon too long.

also we are fascilitative carnivores, we can only efficiently process meat if it is broken down by cooking. Raw meat, REAL meat is prob metabolically inefficient to eat.

but then again we've been eating cooked meat and dairy and high fat for so long now, that even though it can cause intestinal problems cause our digestive tracts aren't optimized for it, it gives us a crap load of extra calories so we can be big manmores. I eat meat and dairy every meal and struggle to keep weight on my whole life. Without it, it seems I can't get enough fat to get a good amount of calories. Dreamer bulked to 215 once but had ibs and my appendix also exploded (maybe unrelated to dreamer bulk, maybe related)

all in all i'd say either a mindful balance of meat and plants is best (no **** right)

but a nutritionally aweir, meticulous vegan/vegetarian can definitely construct a diet that gives them enough macros/cals and vits though its harder especially if you're big. But this is probably the healthiest option if you are meticulous about it.

some credibility to this point but its a gross simplification

we may not be adapted well to eating massive quantities of fat that meat provides as often as some of us do. Like every day at every meal. That is the potential concern.

Veganism has merits but vegan gains is overly emotion and possibly psychotic. Conveniently leaves out studies that may oppose his agenda. Exaggerates the effects of normal meat intake etc.

true, but they are also immune to frostbite. good point though humans across the globe vary, maybe it's possible that we are adapted to various diets.

I think if you use common sense and basic nutritional knowledge you'll reach your full aging potential. We can do just fine on a variety of different diets.

the real question to me is about optimization, performance, and maybe immune health.

cause their vegan diet consists of tortilla chips and gummy worms. harder to balance a vegan diet but possible if you're not dumb.

No, there is no direct proof that eating meat leads to cancer (excluding processed Meat). Meat eaters are more likely to get cancer due to leading a relatively less healthy life style compared to vegans.

The majority of meat eaters don't exercise, they smoke, they drink and they consume a lot of processed foods etc and this is what leads to the higher chance of cancer. As most
Vegans or vegetarians are quiet body conscious so they eat healthy and exercise (they also don't smoke and drink less).

We are evolved to eat meat, we are what we are today because we evolved to eat meat (developed high functioning brains in order to successfully hunt and out smart other animals).

And who cares? The sun gives you cancer, should we all go no-sun?

Those phaggot vegans don't even lift brah. They eat bananas and apples all day. There are vegans that go whole food plant based. Rice, Sweet potatoes, quinoa and still make gains. just gotta get your calories in and protons from other sources in. Its hella hard though.

You want to live forever you little phaggot. Bite into a steak and tell me a life time of that isn't better than 10 more painful years eating raw almonds soaked in your own vegan tears.

Skepticism is the chastity of the intellect, and it is shameful to surrender it too soon or to the first comer: there is nobility in preserving it coolly and proudly through long youth, until at last, in the ripeness of instinct and discretion, it can be safely exchanged for fidelity and happiness

Intelligent vegans can do well but too many people jump into it without understanding how to combine different foods to get all aminos, vitamins etc like chicks that watch some animal slaughterhouse video and jump into it.

Okay since I'm the only one here with a degree in biological sciences, I guess I have to explain several things to you:

    1) cancer in itself simply means uncontrolled and unregulated cell death. There are a variety of reasons and factors that affect it, but the main reason why it happens is due to DNA degradation over time after continued series of mitosis. This is because your cells aren't meant to divide forever, and that the DNA in your cells isn't some sort of magical force that stays the same forever, it's apart of your biological makeup and is organic, which means that it degrades over time aswell.

    2) All food has the risk of giving rise to cancer, seeing as when you are adding more matter into your body, you are adding carbon, nitrogen, hydrogen and oxygen into your body. In a molecular level, these interactions between molecules may lead to signaling which can cause a defect or degradation into one of your genes, though the fact that you have so many cells means that numbers alone protect you from damage, well that is until the defective cell divides and becomes two, then two becomes four, and four becomes eight and so on...

    3) Cancer is getting increasingly more and more easier to beat, the trick is catching it early and removing the source.... That is why when you're in your 50s your insurance company makes you get a tube shoved up your ass with a camera so doctors can find evidence of early signs of colon cancer....

No but I knew this guy who once found out he had cancer..

It went into remission at first, but then he started cooking meth and killing people. Lo and behold the cancer came back.

Moral of the story is that cooking meth and/or killing people is the true cause of cancer...

You may now eat your cheese and hot dogs with great peace of mind

Not sure if you're a troll because of May 2016 but I'll believe you because I actually took the time to read that and it sounds fairly reasonable. So in summary, is going vegan going to significantly reduce my chances of getting cancer as opposed to not being on one and including dairy and meat in my diet?

What cancer are we talking? Sure it may REDUCE the risk of say, colon and prostrate cancer..... But it probably won't affect leukemia or lung cancer.

However, i wouldn't recommend going vegan because it's really tiresome to do. Since you have to balance out all 24 essential amino acids that your body can't produce naturally, since meat and dairy are probably the easiest ways to gain them.... You actually need to balance and plan your meals accordingly to your new dietary needs.

If you are worried about cancer, I'd recommend avoiding charcoaled meat, or the part of meat you consume that is burned dark... You know what I'm talking about if you've barbecued meat before. The black meat has the highest amount of carcinogens of any food group.

For everyone talking about vegans being more health conscious, a study found that sedentary vegans have less-clogged arteries than marathon-running omnivores. Vegans sitting on their butts all day had clearer arteries (and thus were healthier) than people eating meat and eggs who ran dozes and dozens of miles each week.

I eat meat, but I have to admit that I'm coming around to thinking that it doesn't do the body much good, and if anything does harm. With the right combo of plant foods and a sparing amount of meat/eggs you can get your protein/fat requirements while having a healthier overall diet.

Also, to everyone saying how we evolved to eat meat....so? I don't see how us eating meat over millenia would somehow stop it being harmful for us in the long-term.

Pretty sure if you do enough research some kind of "study" links everything to causing cancer. I don't even pay attention anymore.

So would you say there would not be much difference in regards to risk of cancer when comparing a diet that inc. dairy/meat vs a vegan diet?

Yeah that's what I'm thinking too. I mean, just from going to the grocery store and looking at foods its more then obvious that vegan diets struggle to get as much protein in as one that includes dairy/meat but from a general health point of view, it definitely seems like a more logical choice from what I've seen

nobody can say red meat causes cancer, that has yet to be proven.

however it is fair to say there is a correlation between red meat consumption and cancer. once again, CORRELATION , for you cheeky anti-meat kunts.

Yes. Eating blood foods otherwise known as dead animal flesh was never meant for the human body. Its disgusting. I am actually healthy. I see no doctor. I dont need health insurance. I eat the food mother nature made for me. Earth food. Food that runs away from you isnt food. Can you eat a cow raw? Take a bite out of a pig? Every animal has parasites, when you consume the animal, you consume the parasites.

Eating animals puts your body in a acidic state. When your body is in an acidic state, it becomes a host for bacteria and diseases. Your body flourishes when its at an alkaline state. You along with the masses have been brainwashed. The health care industry is for meat eaters.
