    29 Day Extreme Cut....Who's in?

    Last year I challenged myself with a 5 day water fast. It was awesome. This year I am going with an extreme cut. 1200 kcal day one 1000 kcal day two for 14 days then one carb up day (2400 kcal), then repeat another 14 days. Will workout on 1200 kcal days. Muscle loss/wrecking metabolism etc. is bro science in this case. Will post a before picture today/weight/waist/arm measurement and one after its done. Will post one food day as all the others will be mostly the same. I will eat all the calories the same as I do now which is usually between 2-8pm. I workout in the morning fasted and usually eat between 2-4 hours after.

    So who's in? Every once in a while you have to challenge yourself. Summer is around the corner.

    When are you going to start a thread challenge for gaining xx amount of weight by xx day??

    These cutting threads just don't fit my goals I will never cut, I am too thin as it is

    You are blessed with an advanced metabolism like my wife. I tell her she's a future peoples because she never had wisdom teeth and can eat whatever and her weight has never changed. Most of us aren't as lucky as you two.

    Sure, I'll do it. Summer is here and it's time to get DICED!!

    I actually did something similar last year and it do work well.

    Fun Fact: While on the restricted Kcal diet and barely getting 50g of protein, I didn't lose anything on my deadlift or bench press numbers. It's all mental. You just have to command your body to obey.

    Squat- 1075 lbs
    Deadlift- 1250 lbs
    Bench- 795 lbs
    Power Clean- 665 lbs.
    Barbell Curl-405 lbs.

    225 Bench Press for reps-56 reps

    Awesome. Post your picture and measurements if you can. The protein myth is just that, a myth. I eat anywhere from 40g to 80g daily and haven't noticed any difference. Overall feel better as well and it significantly lowers your risk of disease.

I will eat enough carbs so I won't go into ketosis though. I do care about micro's and eat lots of cabbage/broccoli/onions/mushrooms/fish/fruit/meats/avocados/full fat milk etc..

    Post pictures of myself? Not happening. I have a high profile job and it just wouldn't be in my best interest to put these types of pictures of my body out there.

    But, I'm sure I could do bodyweight and body part measurements or whatever like that.

    I would caution against such an extreme diet. You want to take several precautions for the duration and 1 month should be the upper limit.




    ... As we know, protein needs increase with a deficit and with a steep deficit, protein needs increase proportionately. I would shoot for an absolute minimum of 150 grams, though I would suggest at least 175. Like you, I am not an advocate of excessive protein intake, but during a muscle sparring fast you'll need it.

    ... During an extreme fast, your fat intake has to fall below what is generally recommended for good health in order to stay below your caloric goals. An EFA supplement is highly recommended.

    ... Since your food choices will be extremely limited as well, vitamin and fiber supplements would also be wise.

    ... A mid point refeed would also be a good idea, aiming for what would be a known surplus (2500-2750 calories for you).




    Don't take an extreme approach lightly, give it the respect it deserves.

    Thanks AC. Yes I am not going into it without having done research. I am doing a one day refeed at day 15. I will be taking supps and will list them later. I will get plenty of fibre with diet alone and yes my protein will be higher then usual and have lots of sardines/salmon for efa's.

    Why wouldn't you want to go into ketosis? It's my understanding that ketosis is muscle sparing. The fats & protein would help with satiety.

    Just don't like it. Did the keto diet years ago and although it works it made me feel like I was floating on a cloud all day and once you add carbs back, what you lost you gain pretty quick.

    This is becoming too much work already. So this is the last day for pictures, stats or anything else that makes me have to do stuff until Day 30. I can pretty much do this diet on auto pilot. For those that are interested though here is what I am eating today. A couple of pictures. My chest and legs are garbage but I haven't worked them directly for a couple of years. I have no desire to have a big chest or legs anymore. I do 60 minutes of high intensity bodyweight exercises every second day. Tons of pullups/chinups etc. I go hard and am pretty toast after 60 minutes. Here are my starting stats. The only one that I dislike the most is my waist. Thirty fxcking Six. fml.

    Meal today as follows. Tomorrow will be mainly cabbage/onions/mushrooms/salmon and milk.

    8 Meat balls 220kcal p=22 f=12 c=8
    1 yoghurt tube 45kcal p=2 c=7
    10 bite size tostitos 65kcal p=2 f=7 c=16
    5 large eggs 400kcal p=35 f=30 c=5
    3 cups broccoli 180kcal p=18 c=30
    2 cans sardines 280kcal p=32 f=14 c=4

    Setting this diet up I noticed I was unaware of the calories I was eating in mayo (me likes me mayo) and ketchup. Probably anywhere from 600-1000 per day. That's fxked up. I like the way I look in clothes. Not so much out of them. My goal is to beable to eat at a high class restaurant and feel comfortable shirtless.




    That's it. I am curious myself on the change it will make as I haven't a clue.

    800? Damn that's beyond extreme. I see you were taking EC. I picked some up and was going to use it if I start to drag down. What was your dosage? Typical 24/200x3? Do you think if you did 1000-1200 you could have lasted longer then 10 days? Looks like you got pretty cut just in 10 days. I am going 30 if it kills me. Don't like the fat creeping on me.

    Thanks. I will probably only post in here a dozen or so times. 100 calories a tablespoon. I would just take a couple heaping tablespoons for my veggies/meat etc.... Ketchup is loaded with sugar. I treated it like it was zero calories.
