My voice wasn't working either. Never heard anyone the entire time i played. I tried talking and could see my mic activated, but people didn't respond back. Can you guys voice chat or are you using some other software?

The rush map sucks ass though. Requires much more teamwork than conquest and it has that solo queue hell feeling.

Conquest is where it's at. Feels pretty balanced. Planes are fun and the anti-air guns in the map puts you in check real quick.

The horses feel super clunky and they have an awkward amount of hp, but it's so satisfying to get that one hit slice.

What do you expect playing on console, if aim assist is that annoying, you have to get off the scrub boxes.

took me a minute to get used to it on PC at first I went 0-8 then end game brought it back to barley positive then next game went like 20-7. I was using the machine gun at first and aiming was weird switched to the sniper and the medic rifle and did much better.

Graphics are jaw-dropping. I'm surprised they made it look better than Star Wars battlefront as well which is probably the best looking shooter on PS4. The game is pretty much BF4, with a fresh coat of paint.

In that sense I'm a wee bit dispappointed, dont get me wrong, the game is heaps fun, but I guess it could have gone a bit differently and made the WW1 era feel more different. Maybe it's the guns, most of them are still automatics, whereas I feel as though most WW1 guns would have been one one shot burst fire type.

I'm far more keen on campaign though.

Yea I played it last night. The new driver update has fuked my OC for my video card. I can't even stay stable at 2100mhz anymore. Was playing Dues Ex for hours at 2100mhz with no problem. Play this game for 10 mins and it locks up. I even tried reducing it down to 2k and it still fuking locks up. Never really was a fan of BF1 games. It is ok, but it already lost my attention due to not being able to play with my OC. Also I was averaging 120 fps on my 1080 in 1440p reso 27".

SO the new drivers are horsesh!t.

Played last night (Xbone) and after getting my ass kicked the first two games I'm back into it. Consistently top 8 as long as I can get on a squad that is half competent. Game is fun as fukk and runs smooth. I compare this map kinda to Golmuld Railway or whatever in BF4, which was my least favorite map. So I'm thinking this beta map will probably be my least favorite on when it is released, but I like it. Also, I feel like nobody is going to actually play their class in the beta lol. Didn't get a single revive/ammo pack/ health from anyone while I was playing while I was tossing them out left and right. Same with spotting, NOBODY SPOTS. lol it's still fun though, everyone is getting used to the classes/maps/guns so it's understandable people aren't playing the objectives.

Yeah, Cod: WaW was the only WWII shooter I played, and most of the guns were semi-auto.

Game is glorious on PC

The movement and guns seem a bit different from other battlefield games....and I'm a huge fan...feels more fluent.

Played a little this morning on XBone. Graphics are incredible. Really neat map.

Had a blast, even if for a short time. Watched gf play as I ate breakfast. Lold so hard when she ran over someone with her horse only to get doused with a flamethrower a moment later.

Those cannon pieces are fun too, fuked up some people in sort of a choke point and I just kept blasting as they came.

Hope to God this is still available on labor day. Great change of pace from BF4.

You're right, it's a huge disappointment brah. Been on consoles all my life playing with friends and family. I know it's just a beta, but this sht takes the cake. I'm just astonished at how strong it is, it's damn near on GTA levels of aim assist and people talk like it's a normal feature. In games like Rainbow 6 Siege and the Last of Us I barely noticed it, but in the beta in my 1st match that sht was locking on with ease.


I'm not some pro player, just looking for a challenge which is why I game in the first place. PC really is the master race, Maybe I will build one when I have the money.

So i'm getting some pretty weird texture issue. is this artifacting? I've never had it before so i'm not sure.
Although it's pretty cool that I'm getting >100fps in 3440x1440 with a non-overclocked 1080, I have fast sync turned on nvidia control panel, and framerate capped to 90, and vsync turned off in bf1 settings. Can this be causing this? Why am i going over 90? Any more settings i need to set?

Or are other people getting this texture thing as well? Only happens on sand

I stated earlier that I was getting around 80-90fps consistently at a mix of High & Ultra settings on a 970. I'll crank everything to ultra later today to see how it runs.

Game is amazing, feels very fun. Still need to unlock some more weapons to judge them all.


Tanks are definitely way too powerful at the moment, every single game I see someone going like 40-0 which is ridiculous. 1. Everything that damages them requires you getting close, and doesn't really do that much damage 2. The gun turrets that can hurt them turn wayyy too slow. 3. In BFBC, BF3/4 you had to exit the tank to repair it, leaving you vunerable. Now you just have to sit safely in it and relax.

In BF3,4 etc. You had rockets and helicopters to easily counter them. I would say the bomber kinda works, but again is way too slow and hard to aim on a moving target.

Game looks and sounds great on PC. Getting solid 60-ish FPS on a 970 at 1440p High/auto settings. Game is just beautiful.

Really disappointed with the game play though. In a way its even more chaotic than BF4. Why the fuk is everyone running around with full auto's, and to a lesser extent semis when the VAST majority of weapons should be bolt actions and pistols? I get its to make the game faster paced, but then whats the point of the WWI setting then? MG's of the time were extremely unreliable and expensive, and those that werent were heavy, emplacement guns. I'm sure it'll be more popular this way, but its not what I wanted.

Glad I learned that during the beta as I've been trying to avoid trailers and gameplay footage.

Most aggravating thing at the moment... Has to be..... idiots on your own team, not taking out tanks.... It's like come on, I don't care if you just want to camp as recon, use your dang K bullets, and take it out together.

lol that stupid feeling is what makes the game fun for me. As long as I'm a positive KD I'm usually happy. I focus a lot more on the actual objective though, usually have the most captures. Getting a stupidly high KD usually involves a lot of waiting around/cautious play and that is not my style.
