    43 Years old - 9 Month Transformation - 40 pounds Fat Loss



    43 Year old busy Single Father of 2 children..
    Finally had enough of feeling like crap.
    I made a decision on my 43rd birthday to get myself in the very best shape of my life before I turned 44.

    I've lost 40 pounds of fat and waist went from 44" to 30"
    I'm a few months early.
    I have no secret.
    I basically starting eating very clean. 5-6 meals a day. Low Fat, Complex Carbs, High Lean Proteins. 16-17 calories per pound of body weight per day.
    Only supplement I take is ON Whey Protein after workout.
    I workout 3 days on and 1 day off.
    Classic Schedule
    Day 1 - Chest, Shoulders, Triceps,
    Day 2 - Legs
    Day 3 - Back, Biceps.
    High intensity for about an hour focusing on compound movements with almost all free weights.
    I haven't cheated a single time on my diet and have never missed a workout.
    Recommitted every single day to my fitness.

    Hope this is inspirational. It can be done. Even at 43 years old with a very busy life.

    Congrats, but it would be more inspirational with some before and after PICTURES! Otherwise I really have no context for what you've accomplished.
    Began lifting again march 1,16, after long struggle with chronic illness and then drug addict(clean 1+yrs).

    Current weight - 215 - ~20%bf (from 248). Goal is 195-200, and 10-13% bf with old lifts. Glad to be alive again.

    Current Stats -
    Bp 245 x 1
    DL - 315x10
    Sq - 285x1(Parallel)

    That was an awesome transformation: looking jacked, lean and strong. Had you trained when you were younger? What is your height and what was your weight in each pic and what are your lifts now?

    The fat loss is one thing, but thats a serious amount of muscle gained as well. crazy.... and hey 43 isn't old to some guys I know!

    Thank you guys.
    I have been thinner before but not really muscular.
    I am 6 foot tall.
    The weight in the first picture was 220 and my waist was 44"
    The weight in the second picture is 180 and my waist is 30"
    Because I am a little older at 43....I don't max out.
    But my heaviest bench press set currently is 275 x 6
    Deadlift is 385 x 6
    and Squat is 315 x 6

    Fantastic work. And very good lifts! It feels great to turn things around in your life and then to see the results of that hard work. I hope to achieve similar results at the end of my transformational year too.
