Decided to try Genji for the first time tonight. Dude is fun but it's so tough to get into the mindset of jumping around and being a monkey 24/7. If you don't, you're a sitting duck with him. But our team lost Round 1 pretty hard so I switched to Symmetra and carried them for the next two rounds lol

Also, man, I'm not even gonna bother with a hard support like Mercy until the game is actually out and I rank up, because these pub kids have no idea how to protect their healer.

this isn't in any way a traditional shooter. there are plenty of characters to play that aren't shooter like at all.

this game is far more like say, playing an Arena match in wow than it is a shooter.

there are traditional shooter characters but you don't need to touch them.

Yeah I noticed there is a good range of play styles, I'm going to play it while it's in open beta, I really want to enjoy it because I need a new game to get into. All I play at the moment is WoW lol.

first game and I played as genji? 17-6 with the best play of the game lol.

The best play of the game replay thing is cool as hell, way better than final kill cam in other games.

Played 2 hours, The first hour was wicked fun, but after you learn the characters/map and you fool around a bit, the game gets boring fast.
Also seems like if your team has no healing support (i forgot her name) u are pretty much going to lose the game.

I don't really care for this game, but I'll buy it when it goes on sale at the end of the year. I'm glad there is an open beta now to try for free

Roadhog is a lot of fun, but don't discount Zarya in regards to that.

She takes more finesse, but can be absolutely devastating.

they seriously need a death match mode. the domination and train modes aren't going to last long imo. and an additional map per month wouldn't hurt.

jesus fukin christ, me and my friend just played the open beta for like 12 hours straight lmao

mercy is my favorite hero by far. so many heals, clutch revives, clutch plays

but it feels fukin chitty when you basically won the match with heals / revives yet no one gives you a thumbs up at the end. feelsbadman.jpg. life of a support

Dat hook doe. Roadhog is a legit player to start off w/ if you're not a FPS'r. Shotgun spread makes it easier to spray/pray.

Played for the first time since a few months ago in Beta. Game has really impressed me in how far its come. There is an insane skill gap in this game and I can easily see this becoming one of the next big ESports games. Team composition matters so much and it will be great to see where the competitive scene takes it. One thing I think they need to change is allowing multiples of the same hero on one team. If they are going to make this a viable competitive game for balancing they need to limit 1 of each hero per team.

Idk about the replay value, but I upgraded my PC and had nothing to play but BF4 and Dota2... so fck it. As long as I get a few months of casual fun out of it. More than worth it.

And I wana learn all the heroes. But Widow Maker seems to be the only one I excel at.

Not gonna happen, even if the game requires insane skills (which is not true at all), it's still really boring to watch and esports without viewers is not possible.

how can you have a deathmatch mode with the variation of characters tho.. it'd be such a mess.

i love deathmatch but i'm learning to enjoy the game modes that currently exist. generally TDM is all i play in shooters tho.

as much as i'd love a tdm or even a dm it won't happen. unless they exclude some characters, or limit how many of each class/character you can use. even then it'd be a mess.



i am getting ****ing rekt today tho. holy ****. thought i was getting good yesterday. and some dickhead completely ripped me apart and my pharah play style on his mic.


blows my mind people can be such *******s when the game isn't even live yet. yea sorry bro i'm not level 35 and i didn't play the **** out of closed beta day and night. sorry i don't know the game inside and out.

even more frustrating is always the fact they wouldn't dare say anything IRL.


anyway rant over. games a ton of fun. still gotta learn tho. so much strat involved when i'm used to just relying on my map awareness and aiming ability to get my by in shooters.
