    Sore legs - what now?

So I'm a complete beginner and I have been fairly motivated to try to lose weight and do some working out.
I'm not a fan of gyms, but I do workout videos at home, I have an elliptical and stationary bike at home, I walk the dog a lot and best of all I've gotten into biking and I absolutely love it!

I'm focusing a lot on cardio but I've noticed everything I do is with my legs.
Yesterday I biked 13km in the afternoon and then I walked the dog about 2.5 km after dinner.
My legs are sore today and my lower back. Not anything unbearable by any means, but the idea of doing anything leg related (biking, walking, elliptical, etc) just isn't motivating me.
At the same time I feel like I need to do some sort of exercise today. I have no idea what to do.

its referred to as DOMS or delayed onsset muscle soreness. It lessens as your body gets use to it and you will barely notice it eventually. You can work through it, in fact once you do a few sets it will usually dissapear

I hate it and try to avoid it

To OP, I'd recommend doing at least something today to move around and help loosen up. It'll help you feel much better.
There is no such thing as 'strong enough'

Make sure you warm up and warm down.

As Skel1977 stated, you'll get used to it. Nothing to worry about. Get some food in you and let that body take care of itself. You may want to have a break which is fine, however, if you're that determined try focusing on a different body-part, depending on what your workout plan is.

In addition to all the the other comments, make sure your diet is in check bc if not you will not recover fully, needing to get up, get out, and get active and get the blood pumping through the body to help recovery. You should pick up lifting to off set your down time from your legs to bring a full package.
