Hey! I found you.
And I agree with everyone who said to check the TSA's rules before bringing any powders with you.

There's no rule against bringing powders. I'd just avoid bringing it on carry on if possible to avoid getting a second screening.
They can, however, jack anything carried on at their own discretion. They took my corkscrew once. You can't help the hopeless.

I love the gadgets, I am all over anything that helps me track things and gives me a ton of info. Lifting and exercise in general is one of the very few things I actually like doing so I tend to go HAM on the gadgets and equipment, ok AND supplements. And I use the hell out of that stuff so it's worth it to me. Go and be happy with your gadgets OP, it's much more productive than spending a ton of money on drugs and booze, srs. As for the supps (and I saw you did get hooked up with something from a rep) you can get a lot of free stuff by doing promos and participating in competitions on this site. I do sponsored logs all the time, various promos, and even the loot I won in the bp contest is gonna last me til the end of the year easy. If anything I do have to buy protein sometimes but I wait for the Cyber Monday thing here and then buy like a 2 yr supply at a huge ass discount srs. If fitbits and ANIMAL shirts and beta alanine tingles put some jam in your ham then go for it.
LMAO, honestly I would take whatever supps and hide them into smallish containers meant for other normal foods/substances (cashew container, even hide some in a shaker.) Nobody who is truly smuggling drugs is gonna take such a tiny amount at once. SOURCE - Orange is the New Black.Current PRs:

I don't check a bag, so I guess if they take it, they take it! TSA can sometimes be super cool, and sometimes be total jerks. I travel enough that I don't do any rookie mistakes, so I guess we'll see if they take my vanilla or lemon lime scented ******* LOL
That's kind of my thought as well - better to spend my cash on things that keep me motivated than silly stuff like vodka. Oh wait, I like that too.
It will be going in baggies, but no straw LOL
You're so sweet! <3

Monday, June 6
Calories: 1736
Carbs: 130
Protein: 179
Fat: 54
Fiber: 26
Steps: 16,388
Workout: NROL4W Stage 4 Workout A, Lunchtime walk, Dog Walk
So, I'm finally back down to 193 (pre-vacation weight). Trying to not let it bother me, hoping I can keep it together on this trip!
Stage 4, Workout A
Warmup - Treadmill, foam roller (damn, that hurt today, tight left glute for sure), goblet squats and frog sits.
Back Squats
45 x 8 (high bar)
2 x 55 x 8 (low bar) video of last set
- 3rd set, low bar
Not sure which I like better. I think I don't lean as far forward with high bar as low bar, and maybe my forward lean is due to my shorter torso and longer femurs, but maybe my form still just sucks. I was having trouble hitting depth but I'm going to blame my ankle. I'll continue to work on ankle flexion for the next week while I "travel deload"
Front Squat with overhead push press
55 x 8
2 x 55 x 7
I took it fairly easy on these and did not have the explosive movement in it. That's how I like I overextended my knee so I did them as regular front squats and added the OHP at the end of the movement.
DB Step up
3 x 20 x 8
Still hate these.
One Legged Bent Over DB rows
25 x 8
27.5 x 8
30 x 5
Static DB Lunge with rear food elevated
3 x 35 x 8
These burned good
Pushups
3 x BW x 5
Plank
2 x BW x 30 Seconds
Horizontal Wood Chop
2 x 60 x 8
Cut the workout one core set short to fit in 10 minutes of HIIT. Even at 6:30 in the morning, the gym was hot as fark. The heat really takes it out of me.
Travel soon! I made spa appointments for my trip - deep tissue massage, here I come!Team Ogre Mascot

You're supposed to lean forward more with low bar. Low bar is on the right.
I'll watch the videos/give feedback when I'm home.You can't help the hopeless.

You actually look like you're doing pretty much the same squat with both bar positions, there will be some differences in technique between the two. High bar is going to be more of a drop straight down movement, whereas low bar tends to be more of a sit back into the squat movement. And yup, low bar will always have an inherent lean to it, though you definitely also have long femurs for sure, which ain't gonna help

Your back angle on the low bar looks good. You could actually afford to start with more forward lean on the high bar squat.
Have you tried doing a squat with small plates under your heels? I wouldn't do this for work sets, but it would be an easy way to see if it's your ankle that's the problem or if it's something else. You can't help the hopeless.

Hey, that sounds pretty good too! Vacation food is definitely more interesting than my regular food
I definitely feel like my squat is the same regardless to what I do, and yeah, curse those long femurs. I guess I keep practicing.
Thank you!
Thanks PR!
Thank you!
Thanks! I can't wait
I haven't but I'm a bad girl and still squat in my running shoes. I can't frog sit barefoot even after foam rolling and doing dorsiflexion stuff, but I can in my running shoes because of the slight heel elevation. I'm sure I'll get there. Maybe after this trip/deload by default, I'll be able to hit it hard again next week.Team Ogre Mascot

Ok, I'm having some major feels. I must be PMS'ing. Silly stuff. First, I didn't get to vote in the primary I wanted to yesterday - silly, because my vote wouldn't have made a difference. I did vote, and I don't want this to become a politcal conversation, but I feel like an idiot for not checking on my party preference in advance. THEN I found out that I was never assigned seats on my Red Eye flight tomorrow, and now there are only middle seats currently available I'm mad at the airline and I'm mad at myself for not noticing when I booked my flight THREE MONTHS AGO. The flight is full, and I can only hope for a seat they release at the airport. All I want is a window seat so I can crash out and not be bothered. If I get stuck in a middle seat and the person on the window wakes me up, I'll probably get handcuffed by the marshall for my behavior. I think I'm a pretty nice person overall, but turn into a monster when my sleep is disturbed.
Anyway, those two things combined maybe with my melancholy for leaving my family for a week gave me all the feels and I totally burst out crying last night for a minute. WTF is wrong with me? Thank god hubby was already in bed and I was just watching my reality TV with an ice pack on my knee. The only witnesses was one dog, because the other one was crashed out too LOL
Anyway, the knee is still bothering me, but not when I lift. Only when I do cardio or hike/walk on uneven ground. Convenient, eh? That will be the other thing that sets me off - the knee will probably protest at getting in and out of the seats on the plane so I only want to do that once for each flight, please.Team Ogre Mascot

Aww sorry to hear about all the feelings! Sometimes I wish we could just switch a button and turn them all off.
Hope the trip goes well! When I moved I put my protein powder in a Tupperware container and it got through fine.
I am more of a gadget person than anything I think! I have a few supps that I stick to but I'm afraid to venture into the unknown, lol!!!Team Cookies Give You Superpowers

You're gonna make it OP, we're all gonna make it. Hell yeah nothing is more irritating than thinking some plans are all ready to go and then chit changes or isn't like you thought, I get pissed beyond belief about that kind of thing. Would not want to sit in the middle seat of strangers on a plane (ok not in the middle of my family either! ) Sorry your knee is giving you grief, it's humanizing to see that other people get set off by stuff like that too. BRB wrist/arm/ass tweaked and hurting so now I must go around all day kicking and insulting inanimate objects, srs, humans gonna human.
With the plane seat thing is it allowed to ask somebody to switch seats and make up some excuse like yeah I need the aisle cause I have to pee a lot. Haven't flown in a few years so I don't know if security would tackle you for asking such a question these days lulz.

Hope things are better. Funny on the protein powder. For my short trip, I just brought the single serving/sample packs that can be found in some stores or get sent with orders from some companies. I have a few single servings of Raw Fusion along with a couple whey based and even a BCAA. Easy enough to pack and still in package, made for easier travel since I was just bringing a carry on, though didn't use them when there. Oh well.
