Criollo- at first did have some concern that he is mafia simply due to using the word kill versus Lynch. That being said I am not sure if, on this forum, that is a definite tell. I am assuming most of us haven't played this game many times before. Maybe I am wrong about that.

You're voting me for "jumping the gun on who we should kill"? The entire point of voting is of course to lynch. But there is much more that goes into voting - vote count analysis of course, or VCA.

By seeing who would be willing to vote for whom and WHY is far more important than a correct lynch. Judging by limited content in the thread, I'd say my push on you has generated some pretty interesting content to say the least.

I'll give my reads on the individual posts shortly.

I will tell you this, however, and everyone else here. What Criollo is going now is a standard newbie scum move. It is called OMGUS, or Oh My God U Suck.

The premise of OMGUS is when a town votes for a Mafia, that Mafia will then reciprocate the vote back to that Town. Usually without any reasoning or basis.

Honestly I think the biggest factor in this game is that many of us are total n00bs and thus are unlikely to follow any obvious pattern, or may try harder or in different ways to be harder to read.

A so-called random vote is one made very early in the game with no serious reasoning given.
At the beginning of a game of Mafia, each Townie has precious little information about the setup. As a result, the first set of votes are made with either no reasoning or humorously flawed reasoning.
The purpose of random voting (and the so-called Random Voting Stage or RVS) is to spur the game into action by causing players to act in revealing ways. For instance, a wagon on someone may cause them to panic, or a player may become a bit overeager in wanting to put votes down on players, or a player may suggest a Policy Lynch on another one (with some players agreeing and some disagreeing), etc. In this way, events of significance can come about. The first time many players find something they seriously want to lynch someone over, they will remark that their vote is "no longer random".

By raising or even possibly enforcing this possibility, the RVS can become more serious.

First day there's not too much logic unless someone slips up hard I think. I agree Cam and Penzor are sus, but that might just be how they play. Games no fun unless one of the townies takes charge. Reason I think Camarija is sus -
No townie should ever state they are town. Doesn't lower suspect, but might lead to mafia taking them out in case they're Cop's and trying to fraud. Townies should vote together and try to figure the game out as a team but trust no one. Cop holds a lot of potential, but if they mess up or if townies lead to them being killed there's no benefit.
Note to all: Don't state position unless you're cop and can make a legitimate claim, and have found the mafia.

Edit: Just read Cam's RVS. Random is the best strat night one, good that he's not trying to logic it. Makes him less suspect. Either way I don't think we should lynch him since he's a contributing town member. Since he's high profile, if he is Mafia unless he plays perfectly we should be able to deduce it as the game goes on. Stay safe boyos

Of course I am hunting for the mafia. Is that not the entire point? Considering what little we have to go with thus far it does seem to me like cam is the most likely scum.

Cam- has prior experience in this game which he is using to his advantage with linking articles and essentially saying everyone else is an idiot. He was pushing hard earlier for people to vote for crio essentially until doubt was cast about his scumminess. I continue to think cam is the most likely scum with the current information provided.

Tier- I did not have a read on you until recently. If you reread my posts you will see I never pushed for anyone else to vote for camarija I only posted my analysis, if people used that to sway their opinion is a different story. But now you are very strongly urging people to lynch me... I think the real scum (you) would want to try to get someone like myself who is open to posting their thought process out of the game early as you are concerned about me continuing to post my reads which others might find useful. It would also make sense for you to try to sway public opinion at this point away from cam as he is close to being removed by majority vote and you know he is scum. Or maybe I am totally wrong.

Criollo- I continue to think he is town-leaning and a newbie, like myself. Cannot nit pick his early game posts like if he has been playing and reading strategy for years.

Don't have any other strong reads at this point.
