Intredasting. But I think I'd rather clear up cap room for a PF. Bebe should be ready next year to play with the 2nd unit.

We'll still have some money to throw at a decent PF (maybe Pau would consider it?)... and I'd wager that our #9 pick will probably go to that as well.

I'm honestly not sure why we don't try to play BOTH JV and BB at the same time.

Bismack's become the heart of our defense and arguably the most popular player in Toronto now. Would really suck to lose that toughness down low.

I like JV and BB as our new-age Willis and Oakley.

No way BB is getting any less than $15M.

Speaking of fat contracts... am I the only one who thinks that Carroll is grossly overpaid? It's a struggle for the dude to score 15 pts and he's not shutting anyone down. WTF?

And about the signings, I am surprised how the western conf players haven't thought about how easy it is to go deep in the playoffs in the eastern conf. They have a better chance of going deep in the playoffs coming from the west vs east.

Would love to snag Noel from the Sixers but I'm not sure we have the assets to get it done. BC did draft Ross though... and probably still has a hard-on for him.....

I really don't want to draft another 3-4 year project. We're in striking distance for contending. We need players who can play NOW considering demar's and lowry's age. I'm all for trading that pick in a package for a serviceable PF as opposed to drafting arvydas sabonis' son

They don't really have cap space to make any moves tbh. I want Ross gone, but his contract looks good now in comparison to all the signings. Not sure who else you could move at this point.

Here are some interesting ones....

The Toronto Raptors are expected to chase several players on the trading front should they fail to land either Pau Gasol or Dirk Nowitzki in free-agency.
According to reports, the Raps have already inquired about the availability of Philadelphia 76ers defensive specialist Nerlens Noel, but could look into other options such as Chicago Bulls' forward Taj Gibson and Denver Nuggets' energy bunny Kenneth Faried.

After reaching the Eastern Conference finals last year, the Raptors are eager to prove their run wasn't a fluke by putting a team capable of toppling the Cleveland Cavaliers in the East. The power forward is their weakest link so far, but that could change if they can land one of their target free-agents or nab a high-impact bruiser through trades.

Here are the three potential trade targets for the Raptors this offseason:
Taj Gibson - Averaging 8.6 points and 6.9 rebounds per game last season, the 31-year old Gibson is entering the final year of his contract worth $8.5 million, which is pretty cheap for a productive forward. With the Bulls appear to be pushing for 'youth revolution,' many NBA insiders believed Gibson can be had on a bargain price.

Kenneth Faried - Like Gibson, Faried has been on the Raptors radar for quite some time. The 6-foot-8 energizer averaged 12.5 points and 8.7 boards last season with Nuggets, who are also forming a team consists of youngsters. Faried could give the Raptors the rebounding and defensive presence they lost after Bismack Biyombo signed with the Orlando Magic on a four-year, $60+ million deal.

Nerlens Noel - this is the potential trade many NBA followers are closely monitoring. Noel to Raptors makes sense as the Sixers look to solve their talent logjam in the frontline while the Raps direly need a rim protector right now.
All of these trade options are feasible as long as Ujiri is bold enough to pull the trigger. Few weeks ago, the Thunder offered him Serge Ibaka for Terrence Ross and a bunch of reserves, but he refuted the proposal. Will Ujiri shy away from the opportunity this time around? We will see in the coming weeks.

I did hear rumblings about Noel.... but had no idea they were thinking about Dirk, Taj and Manimal.

Out of all of those I like Noel the most (although Dirk would be an interesting add). Young, huge upside and already a defensive beast.

Faried scares me. When he's healthy and "on" he's definitely an asset.... but seems like he's been struggling with injuries and hasn't been nearly as reliable/effective as he has in the past. Don't think he's much of a defender either.

Anything's an upgrade from Scola though lol.

I think this Sullinger addition might be good. And if not, it's only a 1 year deal.
He just needs to keep his weight in check.

I haven't seen him play much, just against the Raps and a bit in the playoffs.
But he seems decent. Can rebound and put up some points.

Wish it was a 2 or 3 year deal tbh. Gonna be Bismack all over again since Sullinger is essentially gonna be starting right off the bat. All he has to do is lose 10-15 lbs this summer

I'm kinda excited for you guys. To see what you guys can do next year. Sullinger is a nice addition. Dude can play. As for the loss of Bismack, not fun, but I was just wondering, he only got heavy minutes because JV was injured. Maybe his departure won't hurt Raptors. If JV improves again next season, you guys would be fun and dangerous.

2Pat is a FA next year brah. Trust me it'll look like a home run signing once Sullinger gets some chemistry on the court with this core.
