    Landmine Rows, One-Arm (PWO)
Work up to a heavy set of 6 reps.
    10x25
    8x35
    6x45
    6x55
    6x65

    Time: 17:50

    Accessory
    4 Rounds:
    10 Landmine Squats, 100 lb
    10 Two-Arm Landmine Rows, 100 lb
    4 CG Push-ups
    4 Regular Push-ups
    4 Wide Grip Push-ups
    8 Toes to Bar

Time: Untimed. Was broken up by a meeting.

    Conditioning: Intervals/Sprints
    2 Mile Run, 17:29, 8:44 Pace, 251 Calories

Comments: Day 1 of working from home is officially here. Starting my workout at 8:00AM. I wanted to go pretty heavy this week as I have more time but my lower back is hurting so I’ll likely stop at reps of 6.

Squat: This took a while I was answering emails between sets. Digging the work life balance.

Bench/Landmines: Got these done. Wow! Almost twenty minutes to complete! This must be what it feels like to be a normal gym guy. Not rushing through to get it done… Could have gone a little heavier on bench but my form was good.

Accessory: Not too bad. Got it done in sections.

Run: Just went ahead and went running instead of doing my usual interval work. Man that was a slow one. Gotta get that scale moving…

    Have a good day folks!

    Time: 25:06

    Accessory
    4 Rounds:
    6 Floor Glute Ham Raises
    6 Hammer Grip Pull-ups
8 Narrow Grip OHP, 65 lb
8 Straight Bar Curls, 65 lb
    12 Push-ups on the Barbell
    10 Back Extensions

    Time: 11:36

    Conditioning: Metcon
    3 rounds of:

15 dumbbell bench presses, 40 lb
    5 strict L pull-ups

    (4:17)

    Then,
    Run 800 m for time: 4:00

Comments: Well, I have to stop by the office, then do an inspection two hours away. It’s weird, I’m thinking maybe I shouldn’t stop for lunch but I don’t know… This is some weird stuff… Honestly, I wonder if I haven’t already had this. I mean, I caught “a virus” in Vegas that tested negative for the flu. Then it took nearly a month to get over. Who knows…

Hex Deads: These felt fine. Could have gone heavier.

OHP: Nice and strong on these. I didn’t think I was going to get that last set but it went up no problem.

Pull-ups: Happy with that last set too.

Accessory: First time throwing in two extra movements in a while. None of it was that hard but it did get the arms pumping.

Metcon: Not too bad. That is a pretty sorry time for an 800-meter run though. Have to get better on those.

    Have a good day folks!

Hi Trent, just stopping in to see how things are going. Very reassuring to see some more business as usual here.

Wishing you and your family a safe passage through all of this chaos, stay well!

Since my hockey season is shut down early I will probably be returning to the gym very soon, problem is ithe gear is mostly all packed up..some stored in a shipping container at work, the rest of it spread through the house. Hope to be back in business next week.
Please record my time/reps if I pass out

Thanks for stopping in CPW! Sorry to hear that your hockey season has shutdown. Hope you are able to get your gear out of storage and get back in business. Yep, we're doing OK for now. This is some bad stuff. That's for sure. I'm hoping that it can pass somewhat quickly and folks can get back to everyday life. They just limited NC bars and restaurants to take-out only, which will eliminate a lot of jobs I would imagine. I guess my job will be safe unless construction projects get put on hold. At least they are working outside... Hope you and yours fare well my friend. Looking forward to seeing you post again soon!

Nice squats Trent and BP Trent.

Accessory work is giving me some good ideas. I need a landmine attachment.

FWIW I would have been ecstatic with that pace on that run. LoL.

Solid Deads and OHP and I am always impressed with your pull ups.

As far as the Vegas flu, I have heard others say they think It has been here longer than it’s been reported to be.

I see you guys have Teddy Bridgewater now behind center. He is a good QB and I guess that sends Cam out the door.

Tom Brady is now in our conference and we both are going to have to watch him carve our teams up twice a year. Let’s hope he is a bust and is just cashing paychecks heading to the beach.

Good luck with working from home. Unfortunately in my business it can’t be done from a phone and computer. I would skip eating lunch inside anywhere. I think most restaurants have closed down their dining rooms anyway.

Thanks brother. I don't have a landmine attachment. I just lay the barbell on the floor and butt it up to a corner so it can't move. Also, I limit those to one-arm most of the time. Anything over about 100 lbs will start causing issues without the attachment (bar comes off the floor). Use an old leather belt as a "harness" to keep the weights from banging into your chest, etc.

As for the Corona, I believe it has been around for a while. I've had weird symptoms since Christmas and the Vegas thing was really perplexing. My wife and I both had weird stuff the entire month of February. My question is, if you've already had it are you immune going forward?

Yeah, I can't believe they ditched Cam for another non-longterm solution. They have just murdered their fan base. Personally, I never like Cam that much but he was fun to watch at times. I'd be more in favor of sticking with him for a year and drafting someone in 2021. Yeah, Brady coming to Tampa just further solidifies our chances at mediocrity...

Good looking workouts lately Trent! Sorry I fell behind a bit in here...it's been crazy over here with working from home, school shutdowns, grocery store craziness etc.

That's interesting that you think you might have already caught the coronovirus. I remember how sick you were in Vegas, with the high fever and all. I would ask your doctor if having it before would make you immune to catching it again. That would be interesting to know.

Like Shane I wouldn't eat out inside a restaurant for the time being. Heck I've been pretty much eating only at home for the past week. It's tough and I know a lot of restaurants are hurting financially and I'd like to support them...I just don't want to take a chance on getting sick. I've already had the flu twice this year and don't want anything else.
If in doubt, squat and run hills. So you walk into the gym and don't know what to do? Then squat and run hills. Have a miserable day at work and want to break someone's neck but aren't sure who's? Then squat and run hills. - Wendler

Thanks for stopping in Greg! Yeah, I bet working from home is crazy. I tried it earlier this week and my family pretty much drove me insane. I think I'm going to keep going to the office until the National Guard stops me at gunpoint and makes me go back home. Then maybe I'll ask if they're hiring? I was reading something earlier that seemed to suggest that if you get it once you will probably not get it again, but am not entirely sure. I think its safe to say that probably almost all of us will end up with it. There is no stopping it. Efforts right now seem to be aimed at slowing it down so that the medical system can handle it. As of yesterday, they have made all restaurants in NC "to go only." So I just went to Jersey Mike's and got a sub to go earlier. I'm just hoping that they don't do a full lock down as they are in some places.

    Conditioning: Metcon

    4 rounds for time of:
    50-ft. walking lunge
30 plate ground to overheads, 25 lb
30 box step-ups, alternating. Holding 25 lb plate

    Post time: 22:20

Comments: Metcon day is here. I am having a fair amount of pain in my left lat. I swear I just woke up with it about a week or two ago and it has gotten worse sense. The pain radiates to my chest, shoulder and arm. I think this is a muscle knot due to stress and lots of training. It tends to pop up when both of those conditions exist. This is also the fifth week of my cycle so I would normally be thinking about taking a week off but since I will likely be at home a lot more over the next few weeks I think I will try to keep training if possible. I initially had a different metcon slated but chose this one as I thought it may be easier on the knees. Lol. We shall see…

Metcon: That one was harder than it looked on paper. Just non-stop leg destruction. The step-ups were by far the biggest PITA. I had to keep switching has I was holding the plate to make it comfortable. Ha ha… Got it done.

    Have a good day folks!

Solid metcon Trent. For the knot in your lat, get yourself a lacrosse ball, they work really well. Of course you could also tell the wife you need some help. Getting married is supposed to have SOME benefits right? LoL.

I did curb side pick up on some BBQ yesterday. It was odd, but I supported local business and was fed in the process. Easy peasy.

Ha ha, thanks Shane. Yeah, I usually use a tennis ball, but I swear, once I'm really stressed out nothing will take that knot out. As for the massage, yeah I can dream... I thought about you during my Chick-Fil-A drive through lunch yesterday. Gotta support those local businesses.

    Conditioning: Uphill Treadmill Walk
    400 Calories, 27:20, 1.78 Miles, 1,065 Elevation Gain

Comments: Trying to burn some calories again this morning. For the first four laps I jogged at about a 10-minute mile pace for 200 meters and then walked 200 meters. The second mile was all walking. Got it done. The scale STILL hasn’t moved one bit so that is getting pretty aggravating. Still hoping and praying that they don’t’ make us stay home soon.

    Have a great day folks!

Just keep moving, Trent. Definitely a lot of stress for a lot of people lately. That doesn't help with the weight loss. Hope that lat pain settles out, though.

Time to pull out the food scale and tighten up the diet. Or switch to light beer.

Thank you Sir. You know, that hit me this weekend, finally. It seems like stress makes it very hard to lose weight. Well, this should be a heck of a battle on this years diet...

Ha ha, tightening up on the diet definitely needs to happen. Light beer??? What is this? 1985? SMH...

Comments: I ended up taking the weekend off as I was feeling a little crummy on Saturday. I think it may have been a combination of seasonal allergies, mild food poisoning and stress. Of course, my symptoms were somewhat consistent with the corona so I figured I would take it easy. This was a very stressful weekend as our hot water heater almost caught on fire and I had to see that it was replaced. That was piled on top of the stress from regular life and the pandemic.

Normally I would take this week off as it is the sixth week of my cycle but since I’m (attempting to) work from home this week and my body feels pretty good, I’ll try to train anyway. Going to do reps of 12 though as I think I’ve done just about every other rep count already in this cycle. Plus, the lighter weight should be better for the joints.

Box Squat: Felt good on these. Could have easily gone heavier. I need to move away from doing 135 on my opening set. I think that’s what limits me.

Bench: Nice and strong on these.

Ring Rows: Haven’t done these as a strength lift in a while. These were nice and controlled.

Accessory: Not too bad. First time adding weight to the lunges in a long time. I’ve been taking it easy on those because of my foot. These felt good and having my arms free helps me to balance because of the slight change in form to work around the broken bone.

Incline Intervals: This was by far the hardest interval/sprint I’ve done in a while. The runs went from runs to more or less sprints. I started at 6.5 mph and increased to 8.0 mph on the last one. Almost spewed. All of the walking was 3.5 mph. Good stuff. Drenched in sweat now.

    Have a good day folks!

Comments: Didn’t sleep well last night. The stress has just been terrible lately. I woke up at 3:00AM and kept thinking about details of our siding and house wrap that is supposed to start this morning. Hopefully we can get on the same page and get that project rolling.

Hex Deads: Nothing like being short on sleep and dragging ass for some sets of 12 on deads…

    OHP: These felt solid.

Hammers: Slight kip to these to get to 12 reps.

Accessory: Doubling up on the upper body exercises again. That got the blood flowing. Time to get it flowing even more…

Metcon: That was harder than it looked. The squat cleans were rough…

    Have a good day folks!

2 very nice workouts Trent. Sorry to hear you are feeling crummy. With it being allergy season it is going to be hard to tell who has the corona and who has hay fever. Sounds like you had a pretty crazy weekend. Glad to hear the water heater did not actually catch fire as I can only imagine it would have made for an even more interesting day.

Sounds like you have a ton going on with house projects. Good luck!

Sounds like you have a ton going on with house projects. Good luck!
Thanks Shane. Yeah, I'm hoping all of this stuff calms down at some point. I'll tell you, these guys were on the lower end of the price scale and if I didn't work in the construction engineering world, I would not have hired them. I feel like I have another project to manage in my backyard right now...

Thanks so much RT. Yep, it seems rough for me, but it would definitely add a level of stress if I were in the middle of a move.

    Conditioning: Incline Treadmill – 12%
    500 Calories, 2.11 Miles, 32:51, 1,328’ Elevation Gain

Comments: I think its safe to say that I have injured my lat muscle. It has been getting worse for the last two weeks and now every time I do any type of back exercise it is really sore and I can’t breathe for the rest of the day. It’s definitely time for a rest week. Going to burn some calories anyway this morning on the treadmill.

Treadmill: I did the first 1600 meters as follows:
    4 Rounds:
    200 Meter Run
    200 Meter Walk

The remaining time was all walking at 3.5 mph. I was going to do 2 miles and was at 472 calories so I just did another half a lap and made it an even 500 calories. Come on weight loss!

    Have a good day folks!

Geez, that sucks to hear. I've injured a groin and a few other muscles before, but never a lat. Do you wrap it or support it in some way?

No. I might try a heating pad for it today though. It felt pretty good yesterday but this morning I woke up and it is tight and painful. It looks like I'll have to find a metcon that is void of back/pull movements...

    Conditioning: Metcon

    For time:
    Run 800 meters (4:12)
Then, 10 rounds of the couplet (12:50)
10 Alternating DB OHP, 40 lb
    10 Box Step-ups, 24” Box
    Then, run 800 meters (3:50)

    Post time: 20:52

Comments: Another not-so-great night of sleep, but I’m going for it anyway. Our county will announce a “stay at home order” today, but as far as I know, and thankfully, my job is exempt so I can continue to go do my inspections and continue to do office work from home. I’m very thankful to not be one of the millions of people sitting at home on unemployment…

Metcon: Not too bad. I posted splits next to each part of the metcon. The second 800 meter run was a little quicker. Got it done.

    Have a good day folks!
