Damn this thread just isn't what it used to be...hopefully Jimmy G and others can bring it back to its former glory as well as bringing the team back to it's glory days.
Laken Tomlinson extended
Niners agree to three-year extension with OL Laken Tomlinson, source says. Deal worth a max of $18m with $10m in guarantees.

I'm not super excited by him but team obviously likes what they're seeing.
That pretty much leaves just the RG spot up for grabs.

A little over a week before TC opens. I'm so pumped for this year.
Really excited about the growth from our last year's rookie class.
Awesome article about Sherman but with Witherspoon getting some encouraging shout outs/props

I'm wondering what longshot I'm going to pull for this year? Last year I was really pulling for Bourne and it was the first time in a long time my longshot actually contributed during the regular season. I can't wait to see if he continues to improve.
Right now I'm thinking T. McFadden will be my longshot to root for during camp and preseason.LOL @ people who follow politics

At the moment I am looking at tickets for the Arizona game in October, or the Seattle game in December. Both are of course home games. Seattle would be awesome, just depends on ticket prices. The upper level is pretty to be honest. You can see everything perfectly.

I'm trying to plan a trip for either the Rams or Hawks at Levi's. I personally would rather watch us stomp the Hawks at home, but trying to do a trip that close to Xmas might be a bad idea with the wife.
Living in AZ, it'd be smarter to try to go to the late October game here, but Levi's was so much fun; esp with Great America right next door.Misc Crypto Chat - https://discord.gg/NTbdBMu come chat with us!

I see a lot of people speculating they can go after Julio...not gonna happen.
I think the 49ers WR group is very underrated and will turn some heads this year.
Last year Jimmy didn't even have Garcon who was easily the best WR on the roster last year and whose bread and butter is exactly what Jimmy does best - intermediate passes.
Goodwin played like a #1 type WR with Jimmy in there. Trent Taylor and Kendrick Bourne both flashed as rookies and should keep getting better. I'm excited to see what Dante Pettis can do in the NFL. He may not contribute much as a WR as a rookie but he's got potential to be a big weapon in this offense.
I think our passing weapons are good. Not great but same can be said about the majority of Tom Brady's career. You don't always need those elite prototypical WRs.

A lot of us(myself included) wanted Allen Robinson in free agency but we didn't even make an offer from what it sounded like. So far Shanahan has done a great job identifying WR talent so hopefully he found another one in Pettis. He's a bit light so there are concerns about him holding up in the NFL but dude can move and should make big contributions on special teams at least.

I think Jimmy will be prone to throw interceptions during the season. He gambles and tries to fit balls in tight places and sometimes those balls get picked. Its the nature of the beast. Drew Brees does the same thing. Wouldn't surprise me at all if he throws 15 interceptions this year. As long as he throws 30+ TDs.
I'd rather have a QB willing to gamble then a QB who always plays it safe.LOL @ people who follow politics

I agree though I think as he becomes more familiar with the scheme and our OL improves the picks will become minimal.
Pats beat writers were super doom and gloom with Garoppolo the year Brady was suspended because he was throwing pcks on the regular in camp. He didn't throw a single pick before getting injured.
But he definitely feels confident that he can thread the needle and get some crazy passes in there and for the most part he did that. I still remember the pass to Murphy i think it was between 3 Bears defenders. I was like...holy chit how was that not picked.
Obviously there will be times those will end up as turnovers but I agree, I'd rather have a guy who gives his receivers a chance because sometimes you can't count on guys being wide open and have to make the tight throws.

When he was playing in Brady's absense, they were running a very vanilla offense that was set up to make it easy for him to make short, easier passes. He still did well, but I don't think it was a great indicator.
I did read a comment about him feeling the pressure of being a starting QB and how his social life is under a microscope. I wonder if he's feeling the pressure now.New England Patriot
