I agree it’s a long shot...but if Staley retires, opens up money. Paraag would need to pull off a gem to extension him. I would freaking love it.
Articles I read said a fourth and a fifth lol and just no way the redskins would do that. They would let a contract play out before taking that black eye.

Love watching Aiyuk’s film. Just one of those guys I never thought of, mostly because he played in the PAC 12..with chit QB play. Dude is explosive with the ball in his hands. I’m not buying that 4.5 40 he ran at the combine. He either plays faster or he ran that 40 with an injury. Seems like a good dude as well. Same with Kinlaw. Lynch/Shanny learned their lesson after that Foster and Joe Williams draft.
Horny.

Man....I’m super bummed out Staley is retiring. Even more so that his last game was that SB. Really wish we could’ve gotten him a ring. Hopefully we can get him an honorary one this year or soon.
Trent Williams deal is terrific. Hopefully he’s back to his dominant ways and if so as much as we love Joe it’s an upgrade.
Boring draft due to lack of picks but one way of thinking about it is...
1. Kinlaw
1b. Aiyuk
2. Ford
5. Williams
Hope they can pick up another pick or two and find some gems.
Side note...I love(and hate that I do) the Cowboys draft. They’re gonna be a pain.

Jesus, we lost Staley, Breida and Goodwin today. Obviously Staley is hard to see go, even with the beast that Trent Williams is, but Goodwin and Breida won’t be missed much as players. I still really like both of those guys and hope they succeed on their new teams. Glad we got Goodwin’s salary off of our hands.
I wonder what their plan with Pettis will be.Horny.

Hard to say. He was awesome for us when Jimmy G first started playing in 2017. Since then he’s been a disappointment. He’s had a lot of stuff going on in his life and some injuries as well. He’s a good guy though
If he plays though he’ll be a decent player at worst for you guys. Carson will hit him on some deep shots.Horny.

Super bummed about Staley but at least he is leaving on his own terms and comfortable with it. God, one of many 49ers I wish we could of seen leave playing with a ring.
Stoked we already found a solid replacement. I will miss Goodwin and Breida. Both were good guys you could tell and I wish Breida could have had more opportunities with us. I think either will be replaced relatively easily so I can't be that mad, and I wish them success in PHI and MIA.
Really like our draft picks considering how little picks we had, I think our pick from WR at Tennessee will be a surprise steal. Overall I hope they all stay healthy and play well and maybe even some undrafted guys turn out.San Francisco 49ers

So we basically got Trent Williams for Breida (traded him for a 5th) and a 3rd rounder. We got a franchise LT for a 3rd rounder. Now, he’s on a one year deal where he’ll either prove his value and we resign him. Or another team will sign him in the offseason and we would probably get a 3rd round comp pick for him.
One year of starting LT play and we just had to move down in the third round of the following draft. OR he’s awesome and we resign him long term.
Either way, the front office is killing it. They got 2 of their “6 foundational players” in the draft and also an elite left tackle. Fuk having 12 draft selections. Give me those 3 players every day when you have a championship level team.Horny.

My only issue is we didn’t have the cap to resign kittle and Buckner so he was traded, but now we have the capital to
sign kittle and Williams? As much as I love the Williams trade he also is a 31 yr old player who can’t seem to stay healthy. I trust the process, just something I was thinking about.

Don’t make wrong assumptions based on the current status of our cap. Fact is if we kept Buckner we’re not able to sign the guys that we did like Armstead, Garland, Ward and a few other solid depth players like Blair, etc.
We’ll see what happens but Kinlaw certainly has the potential to be an excellent replacent for Buck for a much cheaper contract and longer control while giving us the cap flexibility to keep this going longer.

Late to the party but as a 49er fan in DC i know tons about Trent Williams and he is amazing! As for the draft picks, i will read the earlier comments that you guys posted and see how we did. Lots of change i see.
