I bet you're at a place that does two things - one is he was hired by an insurance carrier (or carriers) to service their auto or home policies, but not sell policies, just kiss ass then send messages to the actual insurance carrier. He uses that as a front to sell life insurance for other insurance companies.

Boss just walked out of his office wearing a dodger jersey. Said he needs to leave ASAP to get to the game. Tosses me a $5600 check from someone he apparently just sold something to today. Tells me "figure out how to setup billing and input this" and walks out the door.

Can't find a quote for the persons name on the check. It's not someone we currently insure.

-was given a desk first day, told to get to work, zero training

-guys keep coming in claiming to be conducting fire extinguisher checks, meter readings, ect multiple times per day. Go into back room and then leave.

-we're an insurance and financial services agency and there is ZERO security. We are all using open wifi, our computers have local admin access and no passwords.

-my boss basically chases away anyone who is interested in car insurance or home insurance quotes

-he won't help people with existing policies unless they come on to hear his life insurance pitch first, in person

-office is falling apart. Fake wood is entirely chipped off the top of the desks, bathroom sink has rust and mold all around it, toilet has never once been cleaned

-my only other coworker doesn't speak any English

1. your boss is running a scam life insurance company. he only hired you and meester gonzalez to keep up legal appearances.

if i were you, i would sit around, misc, play online video games, take 2 hour lunches, chat up sloots, and surf the internet every day, all while collecting an easy check, until i could either leverage that job into a better one or a legit job that paid more.
